good luck to everyone who is in the process of completing/exchanging and searching, i made our first offer on a property a week ago which was turned down, so we left it and decided not to go back with another offer, was only the 3rd property we had seen, turns out it was a good thing it got turned down, saw a lovely house yesterday with lovely garden and views, strange really cos i never wanted a garden being a lazy single bloke but after seeing this i think the common sense took over and it was absolutely lovely... so we made an offer and it is being considered by the vendor as we speak apparently and should get an answer today.... only problem is last night i was like a kid at christmas and have hardly slept

Hi All
Thought I would join!
My hubby and I originally started looking last year (SO glad we didnt buy then!!!) and then stopped! Started again last month, saw about 20 houses and then fell in love with one! Saw it on the 12th May (had only come on the market that day), we put in an offer and it was accepted!
I phoned for a mortgage to Natwest the same day and got our mortgage offer exactly 3 weeks later.
Now waiting for the solicitors to do their stuff!! Going to see our Solicitor tonight so she can at least talk us through the process etc as neither my husband or I have a clue!!
Is it just me - or is it incredibly stressful!!! And thats without anything going wrong - so far its all been really straight forward but i'm still finding it really hard (and exciting!!). I'm finding it really tough to be patient and also really hard to concentrate at work etc!!! Hence being on here now - I should be working!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will post tonight or tomorrow (probably from work again!!) when i know what the solicitor has said and hopefully she will have given us an idea of the time scales etc. We're hoping it wont be too long - the sellers are lovely and moving into rented and have said they will move as soon as we are ready!
Good luck to all the FTBs on here - no matter what stage your at!
