What a journey - from offer in end of August, to competion on 3rd Nov. Just feels like there is so much to do in our new place - replaster there, redecorate here, put up a piccie there...now THAT is exciting :D

How's everyone else doing? Good luck everyone, it IS worth it!!
  • yes! completion is tomorrow/monday!

finally after an offer in mid-august to exchanging last week...

now the crib pimping can begin!!! (albeit on limited funds!)

what should I expect tomorrow? wait around for a phone call to say I can go in to EA and pick up keys?!?!

I'm so excited - cant sleep tonight!!!
  • FTB - Scotland - agreed verbally on a house and currently the solicitors are signing the misives etc - the home report highlighted category 2 repairs for -

central heating as it is in the region of 8 yrs old:
The central heating boiler is in the region of 8 years old, however, the boiler
is not covered by an Annual Service Agreement and we would recommend it
be checked and serviced prior to use.

    & electricity:
The electricity supply appears to be somewhat dated and we would caution
that electrical testing standards have become more stringent in recent years
and the system may not meet current regulation requirements and we would
recommend the system be checked and serviced prior to use.

I would be grateful if someone could suggest how best to check/service etc the above 2 things.

    regards,
    bulktrans
