ring up and as soon as the sales person picks up, ask for their name, and then ask to speak to the manager.
Worked a treat for me.....0 -
Thanks guys. Are inverters very efficient?0
-
Now there's a question! How efficient would you like it to be?
Come to think of it, do you know how efficient your car's internal combustion engine is that burns the fuel to drive the drive belt to turn the alternator to produce the power to charge the battery and/or send to the power socket?
Thinking further, do you know how efficient the alternator is? Or indeed how efficient the battery is in charging/discharging? Don't forget to consider efficiency losses in the actual drive belt and the wiring of the car too.
Or of course, you could just buy one, plug it in and use it"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
My only concern is that I don't run the car battery down so that it won't start. I guess if the inverter was that different to a 12v regulated supply then it would either light up or get hot!!0

I think the inverter has protection built in so that it will not operate if the car battery falls below a certain voltage, so it will not drain your car battery and allow it to start ok.0 -
Does anyone have a copy of the advert on friday that said the offer was extended? have been on to Dell this am who say the offer finished on Friday.
is this dell trying it on or am I too late
thanks

Hi 1jim,
All the adverts I saw at the end of last week said the offer ended on 24 February. There was a Dell ad in the Metro newspaper today but it didn't have that offer in it. I think it had good offers but not AS good. Sorry I can't be more helpful. The world is full of crashing bores...0 -

Interestingly the advert in Today's Metro (London edition) doesn't mention that deal but the weekend £339 deal, so they're not advertising an extension to the £299 deal in that advert. Dunno about any other papers - I adopt a moneysaving policy and read the free papers only! The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!
