14.1 or 15.4 inch is the choices.

I went for the 6 cell battery as only extra.

Decided it was better to spend any extra on memory than a bigger screen.

I think you can upgrade the memory after though. How much is the screen upgrade?

Is the eal £299 anyway or do you have to haggle? If so, what's the best tactic?

I have bought cheap 1GB of memory elsewhere.

Screen size upgrade is £35

Just say you saw it in the paper for £299, but get their name first. They will probably cut you off if you say no to any upgrades, but keep trying and you will get one.

I just upgraded the battery as well. The standard screen is wide screen anyway! So not much point.

We have 3 laptops in the house already and this screen is the widest out of the lot.

Haven't tried it myself, but the power & voltage ratings meet the spec for the laptop, so it should work. £19.99 seems a good price.

You could also use an AC invertor, the 300w (£14.98) should do the job,

I have been using the 300W Maplins Inverter (N65AU) with my old laptop, and at the current price it is a bargain.
