Forgot to mention the other day that i was informed by another dell sales person that these "Cheap" laptops are incompatible with Broadband???? !!!!!! that about (its got Ethernet\Wireless)

I too received a call from a Indian dude about 5.45 said he believed I wanted to order a dell, I said yes but that Im being sorted by another person who is ringin me up after 6 which was marlowtechs contact he said he had spoke to him, I said xxxx (marlowtechs contacts firstname) he said yeah xxxx, so me not trusting these indian dudes as far as I could slap them after being cut off about 10 times asked him what his surname was then...........click....the phone went dead.............very very strange......!!

Anyhow Mr xxxx rang me this evening put the order through straight away ordered 6 for friends and family who where using me as they had same problem and knew I might have an insider got the confirmation......even stranger was the fact that it was EVEN CHEAPER....!!!!!........£293 each.....how queer, Mr X assured me that he wasnt doing me a favour and that was the price on the system....!!

Anyhow I cant thank marlowtech enough for passing his dudes info on to us, a much more pleasureable experience than those indian dudes and if he has gotton commision then bully for him, at the end of the day he has done us a favour also.

Oh the price does sound right Funny coz my upgrades came out cheaper than I expected too but he said thats whats on the system, I said no argument from me mate lol.

Mr X rang me about 19.00, I said to him leave it till tomorrow if you want to get away he said it had to be on the system tonight otherwise you would not get it.

He said he still had "loads" left to do so looked like a late one for him, hope the bloke gets a nice fat paypacket bulging with commision at the end of the month.

Mr x rang me just before 22:00. Nice bloke, but had to tell him that Dell had already called me back and he confirmed (again) that the order had now been accepted. He was also able to give me the name of the guy who took the order, and his REAL extension number in case I have any more problems. Its funny, because it turns out this was the same guy I'd been speaking to on Saturday afternoon who'd hung up on me. It seems he'd only managed to lie about his extension number. I'm guessing Customer Service or some higher authority must have sent down an instruction to sort things out. WRT Mr. X, I felt guilty that he'd missed out on the commission, but agreed that I'd use him as a POC for any business or personal machines in the future which he was happy with. A big thumbs up to Mr. X, Marlowtech, Kingkano et al for their efforts on this.

No direct link, as this is NOT a web offer.
You have to pass trough the sale team on the phone to get the 299 offer (there is also someone offering PM to a Dell bloke who will 100% take your request and knows all about this offer).

I was told at one point as well that this laptop definitely wouldn't work with my existing broadband wi fi set up so i would have to upgrade. I might have believed him (I'm no techie) except for the fact that he also assured me that this laptop was forbidden to be used on a uni campus as the tehnology was too old and would bring down their ssytems. EVen I could see a flaw in that argument. :T
