3onitsway, I watched the surrogacy thing (wasn't that woman foolish for letting the couple stay with her for the first 2 days after the birth... She should of sent them straight away so she could adjust without bonding and they could settle straight into parenting!) And no, I wouldn't surrogate... I really don't like being pregnant!

I thought that too! I know they wanted the baby to breastfeed for the first couple of days but isn't that a HUGE part of the bonding process, which must have made it so much harder for the surrogate mum?!? But, she can't have found it too hard as she was planning the next one at the end of the program.

I also thought the couple who found after a DNA test that the baby was biologically the surrogate and her husbands! Very bizarre situation!

  • Niknaknoo, I trained hubby to scrubb his own skid marks as soon as he moved in! I clean the inside of the loo but I also make sure he cleans the outside... And the wall behind... I'm not the one who sprays pee everywhere in the middle of the night so why should I wipe it up?!

Hehe you got a good one then! LOL
I get..'I'll do it later, It'll only get messy again'
Grr wonder how they would react if we said sorry no laundry this week you will only get them dirty again, No meals today, You'll only be hungry again later PMSL.

If google doesn't know it, how should i?

Jvic, Some health authorities do it all in one day and some spread it out over a couple of weeks... Might be worth ringing the community midwives and checking with them...

Sami, I carried a chest of drawers up the stairs last time because there was nobody else to do it, and I would of plumbed my dishwasher in but the bump stopped me fitting in the gap... This time I'm not allowed to do anything... (as long as hubby is capable or willing, if he is neither then it doesn't seem a problem for me to do it...)

Niknaknoo, I asked hubby once why he hadn't picked up toys from the floor and his reply was 'She'll only get them out again' I went off into a rant basically like your last post lol... 'Well I won't bother loading the dishwasher... We'll only use the plates again...' He got the point then... Although he's not brilliant, I sometimes have to ask a couple of days in a row then finally just hand him the spray and send him off... (His excuse used to be we didn't have any rubber gloves, then he cleaned cat mess up once with none on... I said if he could clean the cats poop with no gloves them he could certainly clean his own!)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

:rotfl:I read that wrong and thought you meant you couldn't fit through the loft hatch :o:rotfl:
I want to get in my mum's loft to find my old maternity stuff (that is too small) but Dad insists it's not there and mum said she'll physically pin me down if I try to go up a ladder to get in there  She seems to have forgotten I was up a ladder stripping wall paper and painting when I was ready to pop last time!

    Nutter :rotfl:
Although actually not sure I CAN fit through the loft hatch! Hmmm
DH has been very cunning though - he's left a bookshelf under the hatch so I can't put a ladder up and I can't move the bookshelf by myself... cunning so and so... he nearly flipped when I wanted to go up the loft a month or so ago... wonder what he'd say if I told him I'm itching to get up there now! :D

For ladies with scans due or just happened, this site http://www.brooksidepress.org/Products/Military_OBGYN/Ultrasound/2ndand3rdTrimesterUltrasoundScanning.htm has some interesting info that will help you understand all the measurements and there is also a chart of average maeasurements so you can see where your baby falls in comparison.

Awesome! Going to read that in a sec, have my scan at 1.45pm today! :j So we will find out if I am 14/4 or 15/2 or 15/6 or something else! :rotfl:

Dropped kids off at school and nursery and stopped at the bakers on the way home to get my number one fave breakfast, a roll and sliced sausage with brown sauce - yummy! And an apple turnover for later.

Right, a wee looksee at this webpage, the watch heroes and then a shower. I'm so excited about my scan today! Actually with everything thats happened with this pregnancy I'm just grateful to have gotten this far. It's a milestone.

I'm in a role where I'm often the only woman and the only one under 50 so there can be a bit of pressure to 'perform' so was just concerned this might be another obstacle, but you're right - time to stand up and be counted!
I was turned down for a job that an agency had put me forward for which they had said they really thought I would get, the reason? because I had said that in the future I would like to work my way up from Administrator to Admin Manager and apparently 19yr olds shouldn't be thinking that far ahead!:rotfl:

Did anyone see the programme about surrogacy(sp?) on Monday night? After crying my way through it (still got damn hormones), I wondered if any of you ladies actually like pregnancy that much, that you could go through it for someone else?
Talking to my friend about it the other day, she loves being pregnant, but doesn't want anymore children, she's got her own DD and DS, and also step-DD and step-DS.
I realised i really don't like being pregnant - but like the end result!
What channel was this on I'd like to watch so if its bbc or Ch4 I can watch it "on demand":D (PS Krystal have you noticed that itv is now on the virgin on demand thing:j)

I want 4 children and don't even plan on having all of them myself! :rotfl:
If I was desperate maybe but this preg has been so much harder than last time and me n hubby have always agreed that we would like to help Children who can't be with their bio parents rather than create more ;):A
I would however without a moments hesitation pop out a sprog for my sister coz I love her :blushing: (if she is anything like mum and me tho she won't have any probs!!)

    Morning all :)

Scan and Consulant at 2:30pm, which I'm glad about. Baby had a very quiet day yesterday, and I had the most horrendous nightmare about him, so I could do with some reassurance!

I've got the surrogacy thing recorded, will watch that when I get a chance. Don't think I could even do that though, I couldn't not get involved, or love the child like my own.
    Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.

I'm sure its just me but I really don't understand those of you that don't have choc in the house sometimes
I have a plastic shoebox (the type that obsessively neat people actually put their shoes in, in a neat stack in the wardrobe - whats that about?:p) full of choccy plus an over flow jar and a secret stash that OH doesn't know about ;) and at the mo we have a huge tin of roses and quality street and the freezer always has at least 4 varieties of lollies/ice cream

Am I some kind of piggy wig?:o:rotfl:
