I'm sure its just me but I really don't understand those of you that don't have choc in the house sometimes
I have a plastic shoebox (the type that obsessively neat people actually put their shoes in, in a neat stack in the wardrobe - whats that about?:p) full choccy plus an over flow jar with and a secret stash ;) and at the mo we have a huge tin of roses and quality street and the freezer always has at least 4 varetties of lollies/ice cream

Am I some kind of piggy wig?:o:rotfl:
    Bloody 'ell! :rotfl:
We dont have anything like that in our house, I refuse to add crisps, biscuits, or choccie bars onto my shopping list, never have done.
If i want it then i'll go buy it seperate, which means I rarely eat 'grunge' cos i cant be bothered to go up the shop  :rotfl:

Hello all... I know it's been a while!

I hope you are all well and happy. I will, at some point, go back over the past few hundred pages and try to catch up!

All is well this end for me... we are having a BOY and of course we are delighted! :D

I have a placenta with a high resistance flow which means my blood is working slightly harder to get to baby and could mean that he is a little smaller than 'average' when he arrives. Fingers crossed it doesn't get worse or ruin our chance of a home birth..

    love and kisses to all,
    Pickle and Chops

I was turned down for a job that an agency had put me forward for which they had said they really thought I would get, the reason? because I had said that in the future I would like to work my way up from Administrator to Admin Manager and apparently 19yr olds shouldn't be thinking that far ahead!:rotfl:

What?!?!? they'd rather have some pudding for brains who didn't give a fig about work and just did what was in their JD? Weird - not in their interest as an employer either! I'd love to get someone who was keen to learn and progress - you're bound to get more value from them in so many ways. (As long as they're willing to start with thr job in front of them of course - I had someone working for me who had been much more senior in a previous life and it did cause issues, she seemed to see a personal slight in any 'lesser' task given to her even if I was asking as a colleague rather than as a boss i.e. just to be helpful  )

Hmmm... wonder if they'd have said that if you were a fella? 'Cos ambition seems to be OK for blokes but you must be a raging harpy if you're a girl!

I really can't have things like that in... I'm a compulsive eater so they just wouldn't stay put and I'd be even fatter! I only include one or two treat things on the shopping list and if I want something else I have to make a concerted effort to go and fetch it which is sometimes enough... I'm a lot better than I used to be though... Mostly ;)

Oh and thanks for pointing out the itv player, I didn't know no! Might go and watch dancing on ice then... I watched all of it apart from little Ray Quinn... I wanted to see if he was better this week than last too.... Thought he was pants last week... Compared to what he's capable of...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Am so glad you ladies are also having sweet cravings... I didn't really have a sweet tooth before (was obsessed with bread and pasta and potatoes) but am finding am not craving but definitely more interested in sugar. I thought it was just me being a greedy !!!! and not the cub...

    Hi everyone,

Some more questions for ya after my appointment yesterday.

If someone's up for a maths question, If my due date is 26/06/09 how many weeks does that make me now?

When do I find out about ante natal classes?

Only just got out of bed and got so much to do before leaving to visit my gran in hospital at 12, hence why I sound like I'm in a rush.

    Thanks all.

    xxx

    You are 24+4 weeks pregnant.

Ante natal classes your midwife should tell you about pretty soon. Otherwise the NCT website has a few listed you coudl try there. Or your local surestart office sometimes runs them.

Random question - are you ladies always pregnant in your dreams?

When I got to about 20 weeks, I noticed that I was always pregnant in my dreams. Its very strange! The other day I dreamt I had an elbow sticking out of my bump, and I could feel the joint and make the baby bend his arm!
