Maybe AM is also lusting after the beautiful Mr Lomas, thats why Jamie and Warren are her two possible names!
(actually - if I ever had another boy - i think i'd steal 'Aston' from AM)
I think what started to make me go off Warren was going to scotland, it just dont sound right when they say it lol
I know I dont live in Scotland, but OH is Scottish as is his Mum and her family and little brother, and it sounds a bit like they are saying 'warning' :rotfl:

Well had my cornflakes and I'm awake - ish. Need to do more washing today and tidy the kitchen. Then my personal target is to hit the mountain of clean washing and fold it and maybe even get a head start on the mountain of clothes in the wardrobe - take out stuff I'll never wear again and stuff I'll want to wear after Roo arrives - it can go in the loft till I can fit it againDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Morning all
m feeling abit guilty this morning after hubby brought back a late night kebab and chips and we pigged the lot. Paid theprice with a duff night's sleep. Why I am so baaad?!
BTW, meant to ask you ladies - are you at all worried about/have you experienced being taken less seriously at work once you're clearly PG? I have a couple of important overseas trips coming up and will probably be showing by then (15-17 weeks) I've heard that the bump can sometimes remove your brain, at least in the eyes of people in meetings :rolleyes:MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

I am up and you lot have inspired me to have a 'sick' day. Bet you never thought you would be the inspiration for that!! Feeling a bit queasy really , put it down to either chocolate overload or chocolate withdrawal, better have some just to check!
Me and Beanie are going to cosy up in bed and watch all the tv that I normally miss out on and that you lot always talk about (must find out who these phil and fern people are!!!). If Beanie is really lucky, I might prod her with the doppler to hear her heartbeat as I havent done that in a while!!Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -

Bump can and WILL remove your brain - ok ok so that's a bit strong - actually all that happens is that you get pregnant brain but you might find that you're not as sharp or quick as normal - at 15 - 17 I wasn't really showing to be honest so wouldn't worryAnd none of my clients have treated me differently really - only when sitting down informally has my pregnancy even been referred to so I wouldn't worry too much. The main issue I have had was getting HR and line managers to accept that my pregnancy isn't as straight forward as that of another staff member who has just gone on maternity leave - she had NO morning sickness and no problems at all through pregnancy... lucky moo! I had 18 weeks of morning sickness and now have loads of hip and back problems and am being monitored for increased risk of gestational diabetes as my samples have had glucose in them - so 2 different ends of the scale really... And they have struggled with understanding that.
I really wouldn't worry about not being taken seriously enough - rather jump on anyone who shows you the slightest bit of sympathy or empathy and be grateful!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Ummmm kebab - I had one the other night. I ordered it from the place at the bottom of my street. Now that is just pure laziness!
I am a solicitor and did worry that people wouldnt take me seriously but funnily enough having this bump has made me more confident. I am going to be someones mummy soon, so I need the strength to stand up for myself and also a little person who will be relying on me! I also feel like theres 2 of us dealing with people now so I should be a force to be reckoned with! Some men give me 'a look' when i'm representing clients in court but thats no different than usual - they are just men who think that women shouldnt be in the legal profession in the first place. So I give it my all and beat them to a pulp in court and that seems to firmly put them in their place!!!Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
LOL thanks Mooki and MrsT! Hard to believe there are still men who think women shouldn't be in certain jobs or in the workplace at all! There was a classic thread on the recession board based on an irish times article recently that said women were responsible for the credit crunch and should give up their jobs!
I'm in a role where I'm often the only woman and the only one under 50 so there can be a bit of pressure to 'perform' so was just concerned this might be another obstacle, but you're right - time to stand up and be counted!MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

Tine, I put all my clothes away a couple of weeks ago when we started doing the bedroom... And I have a little pile for hubby to take to the big blue bin near the recycling place... I'm looking forward to the belly shrinking down and rediscovering some of my fave clothes!
Hubby has an interview today for the senior position they've created... He's pretty sure they already know who is going to get the job so he's just paying lip service by applying... Hopefully it will be a bit better than the interview he had for his own job!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
