    Hi all..

Grandparents are thoroughly chuffed with all the pics and info I've just thrown at them! :D Left them with some catalogues too - Mothercare, Babies R Us and JMB - so they can have a browse at all the "new fangled" things ;) Grandad apparently likes cotbeds ("great idea") but hates forward facing buggies ("just wrong") - luckily, I was showing him a pic of the cotbed we like and then the pram I like which was shown as parent-facing in the demo! :o He was also outraged at car seats being held in by only seatbelts.. not sure what he thought happened, but I guess I'll have to show him it all in practice so he "gets" it ;)

That pram shop that I went to has been going so long it turns out my Grandma got my Uncle's pram from there and he was 56 just before Christmas!!

Just having a cuppa and cream eclair (no ice cream tonight) then I've got washing to sort out and dry before OH's nasty best mate comes round tomorrow.. first time since the holiday.. hmmmm :(

For ladies with scans due or just happened, this site http://www.brooksidepress.org/Products/Military_OBGYN/Ultrasound/2ndand3rdTrimesterUltrasoundScanning.htm has some interesting info that will help you understand all the measurements and there is also a chart of average maeasurements so you can see where your baby falls in comparison.

    Thanks for this info.

I really wanted to read this now but those pics of the plastic baby in the half womb freaked me out. Have added to my favourites for when I can bear to look again later.

Elle - that shop's website said it was founded in 1900 ;)
My mum said that the "car seat" she had for me was bolted to the actual metal bit of the car but the straps were just like normal pram ones to keep me in.
I bet ur GD would have been happier to hear about isofix seats :)
Which reminds me ...MIL I want my carseat base NOW!!!! my seat took over a month to come so why won't she just order the damn thing!!!

Was it? Lordy! If my Gran was alive, I might find out she got my Grandma's pram from there! ;)

Hmm Grandad was going on about bolts on the seat - I just sort of nodded and agreed ;) I was considering telling him about isofix but as my car doesn't have it, I couldn't be bothered with a debate about it cos I know he'll think I should get one (more money than sense my Grandad.. he wants a new car himself - nothing wrong with the old one, he just fancies treating himself at aged 80 for driving from one side of town to the other!)

:eek:I know its a bit wrong but people that old driving scare me!! they didn't have to pass a proper test in those days  and now they just have to be "healthy" to keep the license! (very wrong IMHO)
My Granddad did a voluntary re-test thing for older drivers they were trialling around here and he passed  I had no doubt of this as Granddad 'R' is the only grandparent in my family I would ever get in a car with now, he used to be a driving instructor and until last year was a pt time coach driver (which requires assesments by an outside agency type thing)

Oh trust me, my Grandad's driving scares me! He's only now allowed to drive around town and out to my parents house (about 20mins from his). Anything longer or any busier roads than that and my Grandma hides the keys from him! (she stopped driving years ago)

    Right, bedtime for me..

I'm getting rather tired just lately - I'm supposed to be blooming! Do you think if baby has a growth spurth, he saps my energy for a bit?

    Night night xx
