we are nearly through our 13 packs of newborn size huggies! may have to buy more - but this looks a good buy to put away for later weeks/months thanks for the heads up. Any idea how long the offer is on for?

    xx

    :hello:Hello Annabel's Mummy!

I really don't know but they were at the end of the isle and not with the other Huggies. Oh, and its a blue box not red. Glad you didn't have to return your 13! :T.

ETA: Whoops, I put 1lb in my other post but have changed it to 11lb now! :o

With DS2 I had co-codomol and I just sat and stared into space. Was out my face on them. Has she spoken to her GP about different pain releif? Or even tried a half dose of the codeine with paracetamol (can't remember if you can take paracetamol with condeine so she would have to check)? I used to do that during the day and take the full dose at night when I needed it more. And a hotwater bottle placed at some funny angles can help too (but not over bump).
Yes you can, that is basically what cocodamol is.

Afternoon peeps, congrats to newbies and labour vibes to all who need them!
I had my MW appointment today, measuring 36 weeks, (i'm 34) seems like i'm always measuring 2cm ahead.
She said the BH's will be a bit painful because it's my 2nd bubs, and the fact i'm getting alot of them is good as it's preparing me very well for labour.
I'm absolutely shattered and actually quite peed off because i'm getting fed up, and have still 6 weeks to go!!!!!!!!!!

OH's mum and dad came over to do some more wallpapering today, so it's coming along nicely :D

If you click on this link you can find out more about the grant - I'm certainly going to check it out with my midwife nearer the time.

Sounds like it's not means-tested, but you have to have been seeing MW or similar professional regularly (antenatal appts, in other words) & they give you this form that they've signed, you complete it & send it off.

Aparently it says not to in the book but we reckon that is just so you won't sue them if you fall over or something.
I know I was a gym member when I got preg with Chris and they actively encouraged me to keep on going and were just gonna alter my usual work out to suit but I wanted to enjoy being a lazy greedy thing so left :D

I think its because not all the activities you can unlock are suitable for pregnant ladies! I was also a member of a gym when I was pregnant first time round, and they were very clear about what I could and couldn't do even in the early days. You need to avoid any exercises where you might hyper-extend muscles and joints (as you can stretch much more during pregnancy but are much more prone to injury as a result), any exercises which involve lying on your back and any exercises for the abdominals, unless specifically geared for pregnant women, as the muscle down the middle of your abdomen will split if you are not careful, which is very painful (or so I was advised by the gym).

I haven't used the wii fit a lot since I discovered I was pregnant to be honest, and when I have done so, I've limited myself to some of the more gentle balance activities and the aerobic ones which I know are OK because they are similar to things I've done in pregnancy-tailored fitness classes. I've steered clear of all the yoga and toning sections just to be on the safe side. I certainly wouldn't for example be trying jackknifes at any point in the pregnancy!

sorry haven't had time to read back just need to post this whilst I remember to

re DSS mum coming to the hospital, I would try not to worry about this if I was you, remember she has been in hospital and had a baby herself so she will have a fair idea how you will feel about her turning up and unless she is a complete cowbag (not the impression I get) I don't think she would, I reckon DSS just sees you all as his big family and is oblivious to some of the tensions underneath that a grown up would be aware of.

Midwife just been Eloise was 6lb 6oz at birth and is now 5lb 14oz a week later I think thats pretty good. Go me!!! not only can I grow a baby I can sustain life too.

Pregnant ladies (and new mums ) Rock!!

Mini moan coming up feel free to look away now, OH is not helping, his idea of helping around the house is to make a neat pile of the washing up rather than to actually do it, he is moaning about having to take millie to school before going to work (he's not finishing work til 7pm still) and when I txt him about the midwife/weight loss his reply was 'you'd better start feeding her up'

Rant over, normal service will be resumed (right after i've scoffed a twix)

God I must be mad, inviting kiddies friends over at this stage...I can barely reach down to the oven to check on the pizza, I'm cooking for them!!

Stopped in work before, everyone thinks I am mad for not bothering to get the prescription for the pethidine, to have in the house, just in case I want it!!! It was nice stopping in though as they were all raving about how well I looked, except the pharmacist who just wanted me out as quickly as possible, in case he had to deal with delivering a baby:rotfl:

Aww millies mum, men are useless aren't they! You're doing a fantastic job with feeding her up!

And as for taking Millie to school... My hubby negotiated slightly different hours so he could help me get Aimee ready for school... All he does is spend an extra half hour in bed... Doesn't even get her clothes out unless I ask!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
