 AArrrggghhhh just wrote a big message repling to loads of peeps and lost it!!!!
what I can remember
Whomever asked about Costco - baby stuff is not cheap in costco so don't join just for that!!
I go halves with my mum and I'm her "spouse" so get the "free" card
Shell - TCs will work off a guesstimat if you give them one (try to make this accurate) and then at the end of the tax year they look at what you actually earned to check if they have over/underpaid you - If you give a good guesstimate then you shouldn't have any problems0 -

MFD I was wondering if I could still use my Wii Fit whilst pregnant - I guess I have my answer
I know I was a gym member when I got preg with Chris and they actively encouraged me to keep on going and were just gonna alter my usual work out to suit but I wanted to enjoy being a lazy greedy thing so left0 -
that is something that i'm dreading, OH being sent home when i'm in labour or straight after, just because its outside visiting hours. in an ideal world i'm hoping and praying i wont need to stay in overnight as i dont think i'll cope if he goes home before me and baby do, and i know he is dreading it too. apart from anything how is a new dad meant to bond with his baby if he isnt allowed to be around? a friend of mines OH had a baby recently, and his baby was born was a couple of weeks early so they kept baby and mum in for 4 days. during that time the only time dad was allowed to see them was in strict visiting hours which in our hospital is just 2 hours an afternoon
here (and I believe most hosps allow the same if not more!!) dads are allowed in all day but must leave the ward during mealtimes
Right must go home now incase my new trainers get delivered(I'm at mums had to let the man in to fix boiler but that is done now!)

Helen congrats to you  How have you been feeling? I seem to be having two lunches a day - I am going to be massive and it will all just be fat! Plus I have this queasy feeling that comes and goes.
Is there anything that I should be doing at this point that could potentially save money later on? What sort of things should I be looking for? Or should I just wait until after my 12 week scan and then start in earnest?
I have no idea what is out there for pregnant women - someone mentioned the government gives £190 to assist pregnant women eat healthily - any ideas where I can find out more?Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)
Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early)0 -

How on earth will I sleep on Wednesday night??
Induction is actually a bit of an emotional one for me. DSS was induced and although so far hubby has made an effort not to compare the 2 pregnancies (at least not to me) going in with his ex for the induction (and being sent away at nighttime) is quite a vivid memory for him. So he has spoken about it a few times.
I have avoided all thoughts of comparison (except where I come out favourably) and I don't like the thought that it may cross my mind at such a vulnerable time.
I'll deal with it. Sometimes just voicing a little doubt on here serves to make me deal with it...
I am younger, cleverer and prettier than her after all
Well, with your super duper quick labour DH won't be sent away at all!
My hospital don't send partners home but, and this obviously makes me really strange, I sent DH home during both of mine! And obviously then had to quickly demand him back when things got going. They also have intakes of inductions at 7:30am and 7:30pm. Does your hospital have a similar system?

I bought a box of 140 size 3 Huggies (1lb +) for £3 from Asda yesterday!! :j. The box is £10 which is an absolute bargain anyway but I used the £5 Asda voucher from Bounty and a £2 MOC. Also collected the Sainsbury's Bundle which is just fab and had a MOC for that too. Needless to say that pack of Newborn will be going straight back to Asda!.
xxx
we are nearly through our 13 packs of newborn size huggies! may have to buy more - but this looks a good buy to put away for later weeks/months thanks for the heads up. Any idea how long the offer is on for?
xxr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

Thats quite mean on visiting isn't it?! Partners were allowed from 8am - 8pm and other visitors had two time slots throughout the day.
Tbh, I wanted DH to go home and get some rest as I didn't want him driving whilst overtired. After about a million 'are you sure's', he went and came back the next day.

I have to call between 7.30am and 8.00am on Thursday morning to see what time they want me to go in. We were talking this morning about whether I should be up and showered and ready to go. DH said probably not, we could always get ready and be there in about 30 mins or so anyway (okay, prob more like 45 because I can't waddle that quickly!).
Chances are I will be awake anyway and if I am then there is no way I will be wanting to sleep!
I will read the induction part of my little hospital booklet again!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
