  • Congrats and welcome newbies! You're in good company here, the ladies are lovely! :D.

MFD, just remembered, Conrad's surname was F but I can't remember which initial you said! :o. Just think, two more sleeps! Just 2 more! How exciting!! Can't wait for you to have Bubba in your arms.

Krystal, I have images of every single item from your cupboards on the kitchen table searching for that Angel Delight :rotfl:.

I bought a box of 140 size 3 Huggies (11lb +) for £3 from Asda yesterday!! :j. The box is £10 which is an absolute bargain anyway but I used the £5 Asda voucher from Bounty and a £2 MOC. Also collected the Sainsbury's Bundle which is just fab and had a MOC for that too. Needless to say that pack of Newborn will be going straight back to Asda! :o.

Hope everyone is well today and I can't believe we have November EDD's already! :T

  • Just having my second lunch :o a ham and mayo roll. I was thinking, I am not sure that mayo was aorund when I was a kid....we certainly didn't have it in our house anyway.

We didn't have it as kids either! It was always salad cream :D.

    xx
  • SB - I said A! There are clearly a few handsome young Conrads knocking around up there!!

How on earth will I sleep on Wednesday night??

Induction is actually a bit of an emotional one for me. DSS was induced and although so far hubby has made an effort not to compare the 2 pregnancies (at least not to me) going in with his ex for the induction (and being sent away at nighttime) is quite a vivid memory for him. So he has spoken about it a few times.

I have avoided all thoughts of comparison (except where I come out favourably ;) ) and I don't like the thought that it may cross my mind at such a vulnerable time.

I'll deal with it. Sometimes just voicing a little doubt on here serves to make me deal with it...

I am younger, cleverer and prettier than her after all ;):D

    Hello all :)

Back from our honeymoon in glorious Rome and horrible Naples (everyone was smoking merrily even in our nonsmoking hotel and everything was covered in graffiti) to find that our nightmare wedding reception venue made an additional unauthorised (large!) charge to my debit card four days after the wedding. To say that I'm angry is a hell of an understatement.

Other than that, baby is moving about merrily now, we've discovered that we can hear her heartbeat using the stethoscope we have here to listen to the cat's kidneys with, and all is well. Labour vibes to anyone who needs them, congratulations to anyone who gave birth while I was gone, and good wishes to anyone who cares to get them.

    Morning all!

sami bee - thanks for keepin' it real on the food front!

I'm def with you on this one :D DH and I are maybe a bit too chilled about everything but we're hoping the vibe will mean a chilled baby :D Went skiing at 7-8 weeks (horror on GP's receptionist's face as I explained why my booking in needed to be a week later) and have generally eaten what I wanted (hmmm... maybe this is why I don't have a baby bump but a lard bump:rolleyes: ). I'm not a fan of blue cheese so that wasn't an issue but have heartily indulged in eggs and medium steaks (can't do well done!) and haven't really thought much about being pregnant.

Having said that am going to try to balance my newly developed sweet tooth (anyone tried Unbearables? Ridiculously sour teddies, but yummy! DH got about 2 and he had to fight for them) with some quality eating. Cue humous and crudites at work.... wonder how long it'll last?!

We were talking names last night. Anyone tried the random baby name generator? It actually came up with a couple for boys that are now on our list! The girls were a bit rubbish though...
    I'm a bit of a rebel :D
I never for one second even considered that anything would go wrong in my first preg (possibly because I didn't know for the 1st 2mths and I wasn't on any forums like here where sometimes sadly people lose theirs)
I was the same with this one until my friend who had got preg at the same time had bleeding which later turned out to be an eptopic preg and while that was happening I had some bleeding - That really shook me up and I was a bit of a mess as had to wait nearly 2wks for a scan
I'm pretty much back to being happy but have had a few problems with being mis-informed on some things (mis-information came from "proffesionals"  ) I just can't wait to have my baby so I can see for myself that everything is fine or not, I don't care if something is wrong but I WILL be getting legal advice if there is!!

Ps. I lived off carrots n cucumber with humous for about a week during MS :D
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.
