omg totally, my auntie had 3 all over 8lb kids with nothing but gas and air and her labours were all under 6 hours, but then she's nearly 6 feet tall and i'm only 5"3 so i'm sure that must have something to do with it! and when i was unable to keep any food down for the first few months she told me it was mind over matter and i should stop letting it happen  now shes just texting me every couple of hours asking where the baby is and bragging that she never went overdue with any of hers and its all mind over matter for that too lol!

Oh how awful. I've not even asked about any labour stories yet - probably because they don't know I'm pg yet. But if anyone tried that with me that end up with a fat lip.
    I don't understand these people.

AM - how long can bubba go in the front seat? Is it for as long as they are in a rear facing seat?
I've been panicking about our car seat all morning - we got the M&P Primio Viaggio with the car base. Got it cheap 2nd hand from a friend and after reading some reviews it might not fit in my car! I'm sure it would go in the front thou!

Where does the time go?

You can get extenders, or even attach longer seatbelts, wonder if that's what he's gonna do?

I changed everything in the end yeah, we got a maxi cosi seat and a maxi cosi mura pram so we can attach the seat to the pram frame.

It's not the end of the world if the seat won't fit the pram, we only changed ours because they had a brill deal on the Mura and we got it for the same price as the 3D.
I'm not really sure how safe the extenders are, I'm just really deflated now, havent even got the buggy out, I'm just miffed that I'm in effect paying £265 for a buggy which aint got a matching carseat.

I'm back from a shopping spree - Dh had a contact lense appointment so thought I'd go with him and then he could go straight to his mates and I could shop before heading home - have bought bits and pieces for the garden and a stack of pregnancy magazines and I'm just loving being curled up on my sofa with the cat (well one of the cats...) and a large mug of hot apply and elderflower juice... No-one to share the remote with, no-one playing on the x-box, just me and loads of peace and quiet - ok so not that different to normal days since being signed off sick but different because it's saturday if that makes sense :)

So might be back later - if not I've fallen asleep on the sofa :rotfl:

i work for specsavers and sight tests arent free if you're pregnant, they advise you to wait til after pregnancy for your eye test if you can cos it makes your eyesight deteriorate and then after the baby you'll probably be claiming tax credits anyway which will entitle you to a nhs eye test!

I'm supposed to be going pram shopping today but I really don't feel very well. It's all weird stuff like my eyes hurt - they ache when I touch them (I know the answer is probably not to poke myself in the eye! :(). I tried having a nap but that just made my boney hips ache :(

Feelie, some more pram websites for you to have a look at (with prams with classic wheels):-
    http://www.babystyle.co.uk/
    http://www.emmaljunga.co.uk/start.asp?lang=UK&country=UK
    http://www.bebecar.co.uk/products/prams/index.htm

They are actually brands that all this pram shop I want to go to stock. They stock the iCandy too. I can't believe a small scummy town like Grimsby has an iCandy stockist! ;) (shame I don't like them!)

Shop website: http://www.moisers.co.uk/baby.htm - Been going for decades. My mum got my pram from there!

Well thats decided, OH wont let me get another buggy unless it's Silvercross , so I'll just take the carseat back and get the Britax one.
Oh well, I guess he's paid for vast majority of it so I suppose it's his say....

Thanks Elle, thats really helpful! I just need to get to a shop, just need OH to have a day off work, then perhaps I'll be able to get one. Have a bad feeling I'll be sending OH to halfords to get a carseat while I'm in labour - might be the first time off work he gets! There is a shop in the next town, looks like the one by you - hopefully they'll have as good a range!

Thanks. I used to work for specsavers too but I've got an awful memory. I'll have my free sight test with work I think, I'm all out of contact lenses and don't want to order new ones as I think my eyes have got worse and it's be ages and ages since my last test.

Can you claim a free test no matter how much tax credits you get. I don't think we'll be entitled to a lot due to our earning.

    Thanks
