    Morning MFD
I'm up becsuae i've got a stupidly busy day today.
Need to take DS to swimming lessons, pick up my car, hire a carpet stretcher, come home, tidy up and make some space in our room and DS room coz OH dad is coming to fit our carpets today.
He got the 2 carpets at a really good price, they haggled the bloke down to £115 for 2 carpets which are about 16m2  we thought it was going to be that price just for the one!
    :j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j
  • Morning AM

Good luck with Astons swimming lesson.
That's a really good price for the carpets - I think ours cost that much (or more) just to fit

    New car YAY :T

  • MFD - dont worry you will know when your waters break.. But midwife reakons only 10% of woman have there waters go naturally. I have had to had my waters broken both times previously. Is this your first? Have you had a show yet?

I too had a terrible nights sleep and now I feel sick!! Having carpet laid in the bedroom today and new bed is coming on Monday so slept on the mattress on the floor last night and will do for the next couple of nights. DS1 have offered me his bed but think I can mange for a few nights.

I can now go cot hunting!!

I'm awake too - just slow at reading because I was eating my cornflakes LOL
Elle - DH if that had been us would have probably been first to smack the guy one to be honest... although I know if I'd told him to leave it to me he would have done. Mainly because he knows the chances are the guy would have ended up in A&E if I'd been given half a chance... I think last guy who tried some unwelcome advances probably still cringes when he thinks of me - My darling father decided that just because I am a girl was no reason I shouldn't learn martial arts and - more importantly - how to win a real fight ;)
It's strange because DH has no problem with people being complimentary about my chest (and now it's 34J... it happened even before too but definitely seems to be more ok now I'm pegnant... odd) but if someone stares at the boobiage without saying anything or looking embaressed etc when caught then he gets narky ;)
As for how he is treating his GF? Toughie... no matter what you say it won't make her see that she's better off without him. We have this battle with DH's sis... *sigh*

Sami - guessing from "sparks and stuff" that the power supply has gone - so long as nothing else has shorted out (and with luck it shouldn't have...) then it really is a fairly easy job to change the power pack :) If you lived nearer I'd say pop round I have a couple sat doing nothing in the loft lol
Worst case though then I'd say there is a fair chance the hard dirve itself is ok so even if most of the computer is dead you should be able to connect it to another computer as a "slave" drive to recover the data and pictures :)

morning all! can i just say on last nights subject of chips and gravy, if you're going to have chips and gravy, its all about kfc!
    Mummy to
    DS (born March 2009)

    DD (born January 2012)
  • Just ordered my cot off mothercare. I have ordered the newbury cot as it is reduced to £80.00 (although I am buying mattress of ebay as £20.00 cheaper) and used the 10% off code that expires tomorrow.

That only leaves my with the following things to buy:

Mattress (will order of ebay very soon)
Size 2 Avent teats (DS2 went straight onto these as couldnt get anything out of Size 1 although i have already got the Size 1s)
Skip Hop Changing Bag (not urgent as I do have a changing bag from DS2)
Sling (am looking at second hand ones off ebay)
Double Buggy (although this too is not urgent as may try to get away with using sling and single buggy for a while)
    Dummies

I am pratically ready now with my bags packed - just need to add the camera and some batteries and baby bags packed just need to add going home outfit and nappies.

Oh god - I crave KFC when I am not pregnant (it is my secret treat when hubby goes out for the night lol) now they are advertising that bucket on the TV with cheesecakes too - I just keep saying I NEED ONE OF THOSE (to myself probably!!)

    Maybe tonight.

SLS - no show yet - just tons of pains and niggles and more braxton hicks than I can cope with!
Looking like my boy is definitely waiting to be a march baby :D

  • MFD - I hope he doesnt keep you waiting too long. I went a week over with DS1 and that felt like the longest week ever!!
  • MFD yes its very strange knowing when baby will be here, millie has been announcing to all and sundry that charlie is coming on monday and mummy will be home on wednesday, they all try and explain to her that it doesn't happen like that, then I walk in and say yes she's right thats whats happening.

The Ironing thing must be catching, someone asked me yesterday if I was panicking yet and I said the only thing i was worried about was not getting all the ironing done (want to have all millies uniform done cos you're not supposed to iron for a few weeks after)

Still haven't packed the bags but must do that today

Hope yours comes on monday too and that you are not waiting a fortnight like I was with millie it drags like a seals a**e!

Was it you who said that you were thinking of ignoring all the is it here yet messages the other day? Just to say that I had got to that point and when my sister hadn't been able to get hold of us for a few days she rang the hospital who said we were out of surgery and the baby was fine, no mention of me which sent them into a real panic so prob best just to leave a msg on the answer phone saying nothings happening yet1

Mega post from me, off to asda now to get goodies for mine and millies girls night in tonight.

  • MFD, my waters went in the night and I woke up halfway to the loo thinking I was wetting myself... It was after I'd sat on the loo a while and something was still trickling out that I thought it might be something more... Mine didn't really go in a gush, they trickled constantly every time I moved for the whole labour...

Hubby's just taken Aimee off to a birthday party... We were sitting here waiting for a friend to pick them up, everybody ready with coats on etc when I suddenly remembered the present was in a box with all Aimee's birthday presents not even wrapped yet! So much for being organised!

My new swimming cossie arrived today, Aimee likes it, she says it looks like a giraffe.. I'm hoping it stretches enough to go over the baby, it's not maternity, just normal... My old one stretches over the baby but I think that's because all the lycra's gone out of it!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
