Is now worried about DS2. He has a few spots on his pee and round about, but then he has had diareah. Going to call NHS 24 anyway.
Hope he is okay tia, keep us informed.
Okay I have found out that there is a Holland & Barratt near to MILs and a Julian Graves at the garden centre around the corner from DSS house. All I need to do now is build up the energy to go to either one!
Only managed about 20 mins of ironing this morning before the braxton hicks really kicked in. Nearly all of Bubbas stuff has been done now :T Have been folding it all sat on the bed - it's just beautiful!
My monitor was delivered this morning - I went for the BT 150 that hubby said I couldn't have because (it was too much to spend on a walkie talkie)
Let DSS and hubby open it whilst I was in the bath - apparently it is 'the dogs' (hubby's words not DSS's!!!!!) and will do everything. And apparently hubby has forgotten that I wasn't allowed to buy it

Does anyone know if it's true that you crave sweet things when pregnant with a girl and salty things with a boy, like scientifically proven?
Just having abit of fun trying to guess even though Im only 5+1 lol. Im craving chocolate, cakes, dounuts, cheescake, yougurts!! And pizza!
Talking about waters breaking, 1st time- I thought Id wet the bed when they went2nd time- I was almost to the pushing stage and they still hadn't gone. Midwife was just about to check me to see how far dilated I waswhen they went with an almighty POP right in her face!! :rotfl: I remember OH and both midwifes laughing about it!

Oh, I could scream!!! Turns out the builder hasn't finished the boiler job after all and the gas man didn't bring the right kit with him it finish it off either! Now the builder has to come back and do it so the gas man can finish off, or if the gas man has to do it, it won't be until next weekend cos it needs doing in daylight!! I can't be without hot water and heating for another bl00dy week!! ARGGGHHHH!!!! *sulks*0

Hello! I'm still in the land of the unbirthed! I did have a strong urge to clean the pool tho (again!) so that might be a sign??? Although I've been sending you and durham all of my labour vibes (and emlou if she still wants them!)...
Just not been on here being chatty as have been in a bit of a rubbish mood, maybe from doing too much decorating etc. Keep feeling like DH is not as up for this baby as I am, which is daft because we went out for a last 'just us' steak dinner last night and spent the whole time working out our final name for fergus.
We think he will be Jonathan Fergus William. Our surname begins with a W too. It's a tradition in my family to have 2 middle names, so I'd like to carry that on.
Anyhow we're letting that settle with us for a bit....;)
MFD Are your niggles a bit like the braxtons only a bit more, sort of, sore?
Sami I was really glad you posted the detail of waters breaking, that sort of detail really helps me to get my head round stuff. I often find labour information really unhelpfully vague and that makes me more anxious! So thanks for doing that, not TMI at all, thank you lovely!
Another question for those who've been there before... what's the horridest part pain-wise, the very rapid, one contraction nearly on topof the next one, 7cm plus part, or transition, or actually pushing and tearing? I've heard different things from different people!
And another question would be, some people talk about it being better to 'go inwards' focus in on yourself and not have distractions, and concentrate on your cervix widening. Others talk about wanting to be distracted from what was going on. What worked for you guys?

It's not that.. my Mum can be here whenever.
It's that the builder has got another job to go to next week and/or might not feel comfortable doing the gas stuff (only he didn't tell us that earlier), and the gas man works fulltime and can do the signing off one night after work but not the whole job. It's another three hours worth of work.
*sulks some more* Just had a conversation with my dad where he's trying to be all calm and rational and calling me "sweetheart"... I'm not in the mood to be talked down off the ceiling right now! :mad:0 -
For me Weezl, I went completely into myself... I found counting at the start of a contraction helped because I knew that when I got to a certain number it would start to ease off a little... Obviously, the longer it went on, the higher the number I went up to but it did help... I don't think I was coping very well with the pain before I started to count because I was asking for pain relief... But once I'd figured it out I was ok... When I moved to delivery suite and got the gas and air I kind of lost it a bit again but my sister then put the music on and I calmed down again... For me the worst pain was the crowning... I looked at my sister and said 'it's ripping me' and she just kind of looked at me in an encouraging way... But I did tear quite badly...
Sami, your waters breaking sounds a bit like mine lol... I stood up to put the light on and more trickled out, think that was when I thought it couldn't just be wee... For the uninitiated... It is possible to go for a wee, think you've finished and more leak out towards the end... I discovered this in McDonalds Shrewsbury... After that I always rocked backwards and forwards on the toilet just to make sure before I stood up...
And my sickness is back too.. Only had breakfast again today and sick as a dog ever since... My Mum's coming over shortly to take us carpet shopping... And hubby's not back from the party with Aimee yet either...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
