I'm sure you'll be fine FG, I went to all mine with Aimee alone and I don't recall seeing any men there till the last one... And seeing as it's during the day there might not be many husbands able to get time off too...

Elle, don't worry about not being a confident swimmer... When you take a baby swimming you mostly just squat in the shallow end and bob them up and down in the water... And because they can't keep themselves warm in the early days you probably won't be in there longer than 20 mins anyway...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Right this is a detailed report of my waters so look away now if you don't want to know!
I woke up at 6am needing a wee,
went to loo sat down and weed
wen I stood up there was a trickle, which did happen sometimes so I sat back down
nothing else came out so I stood up and there was another trickle at which point I thought "hmm thats a bit strange" so I sat down again wiped and got a bit of tissue and held it against me and stood up again,
I felt more trickle so then I looked at the tissue and it was wet but not yellow like wee but more like very weak juice just a teeny bit pink, I also sniffed it :o and it didn't have any smell.
So I shouted hubby to get up and showed him and he sniffed it to :o we decided that it was deffo 'waters' and call the hosp who said come in so I hopped in the bath to wash my hair (obviously) where I had some irregular contractions and the rest they say is history :D
And for anyone who is interested, here is a detailed report of my water breaking in spectacular style, dear god there was no 2 ways about it :D

Sitting on my Nans sofa watching telly and eating sweets,
Dropped a sweet on the floor
Bent over whilst still sitting to pick said sweet up
Felt this weird popping sensation followed by a massive gush of water :D
I jumped up and said to my Nan ''OMG Nan I think my waters have broke, I'm not lying''
Started to go upstairs and felt another pop followed by more gushing
Went to the loo, sat there for about 15-20 mins and phoned the labour ward to confirm
Me and Mum were laughing hysterically, nan was frantically trying to soak up the sofa and my cousin was moaning cos she had come to Nans for a peaceful break :rotfl:
Contractions started in equally spectacular style exactly 1 hour after the 1st POP ;)

Good luck feelie :) Report back later!
  • Hiya candygirl - oh dear...tears at BH can't be good - mine have had me doubled over and groaning but nothing too unbearable so far.

Can't help with tens I am afraid (I secretly don't really think that they are worth it)

Weezl - I am liking Jonathan :D It's one of those names which will work really well for child and man.

I would like some naming advice please (where is SB when I spill the beans)

One of the names that we keep coming back to is Conrad. We both really like it, it is exceedingly rare (800+ in the charts last year) but we both have issues with it for different reasons:
Hubby thinks it will be great as Bubba starts to grow up but can't see a baby with that name.
I (for some bizarre reason) have got it into my head that the name is a bit chavvy (makes no sense I know).

Also - MIL puts -ie on the end of everyones name...we were thinking that Connie is prob a bit of a no-no.

    Thoughts please ladies.
