Pregnancy wise, I've been fine. Baby has been wriggling like mad and OH felt kicks from the outside tonight. I thought he'd been sure he'd felt it about ten days ago so I wasn't telling him to feel everytime I felt strong movements but apparently he hadn't been so sure so was dying to feel it again! Bless him..
We've had a fab time away together. Spent two days out and about together and never ran out of things to say! Sometimes, despite now having been together for almost two and a half years, this still feels like a new-ish relationship and I'm afraid we'll run out of things to say or something, so I'm really happy about that
In case anyone missed it before I went, this is where I've been - www.pinelodgeholidays.co.uk/darwin_forest. Would thoroughly recommend it to everyoneLodges were lovely, park nice and small, staff all wonderful (pool a tad cool though!). Just so nice to get out in the fresh air! We went orienteering through the forest yesterday. Wouldn't be any good if you had a buggy, but if you've got little ones confident on their feet in wellies and raincoats it would be fab!
We went with OH's best mate, his wife and their 11 mth old DS.. I am not kidding you when I say it was a four day demonstration of "how not to parent"!! It made for some interesting discussions (just between the two of us!) about how we want to bring up our children, and has made OH see his best mate in a completely different light to the point where he's not sure they will actually ever have the same relationship again. It was, no exageration, textbook abuse from the "best mate" to his wife and child and we both agree she would be so much better off without him - not that she would ever see that!! We're both so glad to be away from them..
Homewise, the new boiler is in.. and half the living room ceiling has fallen in where there was a leak in the water tank in the loft overnight (we live in a bungalow) The builder said he very nearly died when he walked in the next morning!Nothing is too majorly damaged (much to OH's dismay - he was hoping for a new telly out of it!) and the builder is replacing the ceiling FOC ASAP. The boiler is much bigger than we thought it would be but it should be hidden in a cupboard. Got the new kitchen ordered just before we went away - was a bit upset at the price (started with a four!) but it is everything we want and have got my dad's approval so feel a bit better now
Gas man coming tomorrow to hook up the boiler then I intend to spend most of my evening in a nice hot bath!

HA! Looking at my last few posts I don't think any of you would believe I'm in danger of running out of things to say to OH..
(I'm saying it so none of you have to!
)
Also, hope Sami (and then me/I!) haven't started a "ceiling falling in" plague.. I don't think I saw any mention of more dying appliances so hopefully that plague has finished now!0 -
Hello Elle!!!
We've missed you - I've actually been to been to bed at something past 1 instead of something past 2 a few nights!!
Ceiling is temporally covered in plastic sheeting while we get some more quotes and then sort it with the insurance we've had 1 quote in so far for £950 so no doubts that it was the best thing to call the insurance, just wondering if they'll pay for a decorator too coz that £950 is just to pull old ceiling down and put new one up!
I asked Glam about the envelopes but its linked to her work which is confidential so she can't bring in mates to help
I can't beleive that the "lovely" bloke actually acted like that in front of you  I expected him to put on a front as you always hear that people on the outside are fooled by charming exteriors. I hope he didn't do anything too awful
If this bump is a girl I fully intend on making her as big headed as possible so she'll never feel the need to stay in an awful relationship
Edit didn't u see my earlier post about my pc dying??

Well done you!Ceiling is temporally covered in plastic sheeting while we get some more quotes and then sort it with the insurance we've had 1 quote in so far for £950 so do doubt that it was the best thing to call the insurance, just wondering if they'll pay for a decorator too coz that £950 is just to pull old ceiling down and put new one up!
Apparently we've had industrial heaters/driers in here to sort out the probs. Wall and ceiling now just damp to the touch so no plastic sheeting here. Hate to admit it, but we've not actually got any house insurance (one of those things I've been meaning to get around to but never have) so I'm kinda glad it was the builder's mistake that caused it! Got to get the insurance sorted this weekend..

Thanks! Worth a try!I can't beleive that the "lovely" bloke actually acted like that in front of you  I expected him to put on a front as you always hear that people on the outside are fooled by charming exteriors. I hope he didn't do anything too awful

I always thought he might just be gobbing off in front of us for our brief visits but wasn't like that normally.. Turns out he's even worse normally! It was awful to witness - like if it was a tv programme, I'd have turned it off! We walked out (of the room or lodge) several times to get away from him, but then felt horrible cos we'd left her with him.
He also seemed to think it was fair game to comment on my boobs - in front of his wife! Okay, so to be a bit big-headed, they are prob my best "feature" and are obviously bigger cos I'm pregnant, but he was making unnecessary comments about his son "eyeing them up" and "well, can you blame him?!" I didn't lower myself to telling him to shut it in front of everyone (didn't want to embarrass her any more!) but was waiting for the opportunity to say something when we were alone. I didn't get that chance but am still intending to say something when I do! OH was quite willing to speak up, but I told him they are my boobs and I want to fight this one for myself!Edit didn't u see my earlier post about my pc dying??
Oh yes, sorry, I did! Is it terminal?!0 -
OMG get ur house insurance sorted before baby!! Chris has trashed soo many things that so far haven't needed a claim but I'm sure its only time
That bloke is truly awful and disgusting! I'm not sure what I would have done if he'd commented on my boobs but I did once slap a pished customer when I was a waitressHe was about 60 and tried to feel my bum  it was just a reflex reaction but he did deserve it and was so pished he forgot about it instantly!!
OH thinks that he might be able to just replace a certain bit of the pc and it will work - I really hope so coz I don't want to loose all the photos we have on there!!
Right of to bed chris is cryingxx

Sorry, wandered off.. Night night
xx
I did ask OH tonight what he thought his mate would do if I did dare say something to him (his good lil wifey would never dare!) and OH actually looked quite worried and said that he didn't want me to say anything without him being present.. Speaks volumes, I thought!0 -
Morning ladies - am I the first one up??
Another terrible nights sleep last night with all kinds of niggles and pains that 'could' have been the start of labour...hubby doesn't help - he keeps commenting on how I look like it is hurting differently so this has got to be it
Thought I would get up and leave DH to a quiet few hours without me tossing and turning.
Okay - really stupid question...if my waters go whilst I am on the toilet I will know the difference between that and a big wee won't I?
