Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Tia, Aimee loves the lion man! Did you see Harry Hill at the weekend taking the mickey out of the 'sing along theme tune'? Was very funny...
Baby has been really squirmy today... I'm lying on my back with my knees up and the laptop across my belly leaning on my knees... It keeps trying to kick it off...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I don't like that lion man! I'm not convinced he has their best interests at heart so I refuse to watch it!
Those skinny mummies to be there are lots of maternity bits in the sale still mostly size 6's and 8's in various leg lengths0 -
I had lamb chops, baby potatoes with green tails and roasted parsnips for dinner, yummy. Though, DS1 who is 7 only just realised that lamb chops come from lambs and that they are killed, so had an interesting discusion where he asked exactly how they died. This is made all the more interesting as every year we go visit my friends new lambs (she has a small flock that started out as a few orphaned and abandoned and injured lams that she hand reared). She names them all and tells us who is being kept, who is being eaten and who is being sold
It all started with lambs with me too! On the way to Butlins aged 5 :rotfl:. From then on my (very patient and understanding) Mum had to put any meat on a side plate and I would decide if I would eat it or not...but definately nothing with bones!.
I've been veggie half my life now.

Krystal, I missed it!
Sami, I half agree with you since I don't beleive in big cats/wild animals as 'pets'. But he does do good work I suppose and atleast while they are being trained as film cats, they are not being whipped and kept in cages. Dunno it's a hard one for me to pick one side or the other (especially as I've only saw one or two episodes). Although he has influenced 'how to explain this evolutionary junke throwback without offending nayone; at college to get a lion (or tiger) as a pet adn it will live in a dog cage in his room of his shared doss house flat... but he's not stoopid, he wont be taking it down the beach for a walk.
September, well, as he was looking a bit horrified at lambs being killed he was still tucking into his chops. I get round it by buying form our local butcher so I know where the 'meat' has came from and not wasting it. If it is on my plate I will enjoy it. I think that throwing it in the bin would be wrong iyswim. I did think about being a veterarian but to be honest I like meat so this seems like the best option for me.0 -
Lion Man debate.... oooooo
Personally I think the work he does is great - yes the cats have to "earn their keep", but ultimately the point of Zion Wildlife Gardens is to breed endangered cats to prevent them from being extinct. Not all his cats are "trained" - he has a whole pride of lions that aren't - even he barely goes in with them (only to clean the poo and even then with people standing by in case they try to eat him...). He also does exchanges with several places to make sure the gene pool gets spread around as much as possible...
Initially I have to say I didn't like the size of the enclosures etc but it was always temporary - if you watch the newest series then you should see the size of some of the enclosures! They're MASSIVE
Anyway - it's not really late and I'm knackered! So I'm off to bed I'm afraid - the leg of lamb was delishious! I got it JUST right and it was tender, hint of pink and sooooo moistThere is nothing but a few strands left on that leg - we stripped it bare lol!!!

sampainter - congrats on the birth of Hannah Morgan!
AM - glad you got a car sorted!
Caz - lovely name, finally!
Tine - no, you're not the only one thinking of the webcam thing. FIL is a security specialist and OH is intending to rig up an actual CCTV set up with IP address. Not sure I understand it or am going to let him do it, but he likes talking about it for now!
shoppie - very sorry to hear your news. Thinking of you xx
searching - how's it going with your visiting friend? I take it she didn't bring her other friend too then!
Lucifa - congrats on the birth of Nathan James!
hypno - have a good hols!
mel - I was telling OH about the small gas&air canisters. He's a first aider (trained in giving ent-thingy for it) and said something about you should only have it for four hours (or something like that!). I was hoping for it from the minute I set foot in the hospital so let's hope for a short labour!
Feelie - loving your fruit and veg logic on the chippie tea!
Glamazon - can anyone do the envelopes for vouchers thingy you talked about, or is it your own lil sideline job?
Sami - are you back at home yet, or staying away until the ceiling is fixed?
Love and hugs to everyone else too!xx
