In my area they only test for chlamydia if under 25 - silly really should test everyone. However they routinely test when they do a smear so it would get picked up in that.

Thanks sls - there is an initiative in Greater Manchester where if you are under 25 you can send off a urine sample and get it tested for Chlamydia and Gonnohrea (?sp) whether your pg or not. It was the same form but I am over 25 so wasn't sure if it was routine across the country.

Maybe she thought I looked like I needed a test  :rotfl:

Ok ladiees! In this photo we can see:

The pool, with it's cartoony feel :D and layer of thermal wrap for the top, the newly cleaned hosepipe, the dark blue bag is for if we go in to hospital in a blue lights situation. The white unit houses TV, DVD player Radio... On the top are my calcium and arnica all ready for pain relief and healing up respectively..., my heated neck pillow, TENS digital. You can also see the swiss ball. The only things the photo doesn't show is the table for the midwives, and DH which has sieve, thermometer, hand-held mirror, torch.... Feel free to ask if you want to know what any of this stuff is meant to be for!

On top of the hospital bag are my fluffy socks.

Anyone want to remind me of 'owt I forgot?

    Much love, Weezl x

Glam: oohh noooo I hope it clears up so you have a choice in how bubs comes into the world!
The only STI/STD I have been tested for is the bloods ones - just syphilis and HIV I think  I've seen posters in the GPs about free chlamydia testing and kept thinking I should ask "just in case" but never have :o

Sami - you just pee in a pot - pipet it into a small tube and send it off. Get a text back within a week with result. We also have some kits which you can do at home with Stamped Addressed Envelopes on. Once you are over 25 they won't do it.

Weezl - that looks fab. That's how I imagine mine will be if I can have it.

    What's the thermal wrap?
What is form is the calcium in?
Oh yeah and what's the sieve for?
