thanks Mel, that's the sort of detail of people's birth stories I really like, helps me to get my head round the whole thing IYSWIM?

So are you going to try to be at home for as long as you can? Wanna borrow my TENS or pool?! ;)

Birthing room all set up now here at Weezl towers. I can post a piccie if people are interested in that sort of thing....

    Love

I am planning on having the baby at home...I have my gas and air sat here, although they are tiny little bottles tho....good job there are 4 of em'.

I haven't got a room set up, I am just planning on pacing the living/dining rooms until needing to push then will just get on some kind of leaning over/all fours position...probably on the small sofa. I have everything to ready to hand and when I start labour I am just gonna chuck down the shower curtain and old sheets that I have ready. I keep wondering if I am not being organised enough:o

I would like a pic of your set up tho, when you get time:)

I wanna go home. Today is going so slowly. All my colleagues are sick (in the health sense), at court, on leave or working from home so I am all on my lonesome (well except for beanie, who just happens to be viable today - that is not an offer for her to come out though, I am not that lonely)!

I am taking my pregnancy 'like a man' and button up of the one jacket that still fits me! Then I just have a bump sticking out the bottom and just look fat or like someone who just lets it all hang out. I shall also take my labour like a man, and scream, cry, yelp, holler, swear to my hearts content.

  • I have just got back from midwife appointment and DS2 was good as gold. Everything was fine and even got my HIPG Form - Yippee!! That will come in very handy. I am 34 weeks but measuring 36 weeks (but my babies are big) and baby is still the right way round.

I am going to set off in a minute to get the boys. This walk is killing me lately, it is usually only a 10min walk(without kids) and lately it is taking me about 20mins (or more!!)

    Oh and congratulations to Lucifa:)

1 an hour...so as long as they are all full I have 4 hours worth...right I will definitely try to hold off using it as long as possible then. I wonder if I can pinch some stronger co-codamol from work:o

they had a similar case on "This Morning" last summer i think and Dr Chris said it was only so dangerous in the 7days before or after birth but thats just from memory, best to mention it and I'd personally write in on my notes too just in case :) xx
