DS has had his swimming lessons changed to Sat mornings in the baby pool! becauae he can stand up in the shallow part of that.
I hope he gets on this time, the coordinater said if he doesnt then he shouldnt come again, i blooming well hope not, how can i get him to not cry?
Could your OH take him for a splash before the lesson?
just thinking maybe he needs to just have a bit of fun and be shown that its not scary

No, he works 6 days a week.
If they say that he cant go anymore Mum said she'll try and take him for me to get used to the water, but in all honesty i cant see that happenning much.

I read in my book that often women fell that thy need to take pregnancy 'like a man', and just try to carry on as normal and not get special treatment.

I had a meeting with a client today and i made a point of buttoning up my jacket so that he could not tell I was pregnant (I am 19 weeks!) as i thought it looks unprofessional to be pregnant - am I the only one who thinks like that? Am i mad???

Interesting thought efrieze -I work in construction (although I don't get my hands dirty ;) ) and I made a point of always being early if I went onto site etc - days usually start around 7am on our sites. I guess that is so people wouldn't think that I was weak just because I was pregnant. I guess it is about maintaining a professional attitude...I don't take any other part of my personal life into work so I didn't want being pregnant to affect my work either IYSWIM.

Not sure if that is about 'taking it like a man' but it is definitely about not wanting any special treatment at work.

  • AM didn't realise you were having trouble with Aston at swimming? Whats happening?

Millie was awful at first at swimming club she would scream and cry and even made herself sick (over the instructor) she is getting better now but its been awful making her go when she's crying

Caz don't know about scotland but down here when you are signed off by the midwife you are passed on to the Health Visitor? hope it was just a one off and she hasn't got reflux

Can you get him splashing in the bath? Hardly a pool I know but if you talk to him about how the pool is just a really big bath maybe there is something you can say to calm him down (if you get scared just pretend you are in the bath - type stuff  )

I know the big smelly goons, I can't see why the date is too early tho
humpf I just hope it doesn't delay it too much coz it should start on the 18th March so I've signed it straight away and will post it today but seeing as it took them nearly 2 weeks to open the envelope I won't hold my breath!!

oh and :mad::mad::mad: again!! I put the pc on to do an order on next coz the site won't work on my webby and it made lots of sparking noises then went off and it won't come back on :eek: I was just thinking I need to burn all the photos on there to disc in case it ever broke or got stolen so I'm praying they can be recovered :undecided

It's a difficult one. I think, in my work, i fear people will see it as a lack of dedication to the job if you are happy to have a baby and disappear from the office for x months. I know it is in my head more than anything else, and yes Sami-Bee - I am mad!
