weezl you're so brave having a home birth, i'm too chicken to go even to a birth centre instead of hospital!! awesome pool, never would have thought of that kind!

Hi emlou! you still wanting those labour vibes, sprinkle sprinkle...

The friend who lent it is really practical, and thought she'd have a dual-purpose birth pool and later on pool for the kids!

I don't think it's about bravery in my case, but thanks ;). Actually I think I'm more scared of hospital! I reckon each mum-to-be probably tries whatever makes us feel safe enough to do this amazing thing we're all about to do (and have just done Caz!)

And on that note - it's home time.

OH says ASDA have beer on offer 2 crates for £16 (he's hoping for 3 for £20 as they normally go together) so guess where I have to go now?!!

will try and log back on later

I think I'm pretty good with money, I spent so long living on a really tight budget I haven't really adjusted to having more money... I was really worried about hubby having to pay bills because before we were married he had practically 100% expendable income... But we talked about it the other day and he said he feels far more well off now because he used to fritter his wages away on nothing and end up owing half his next months wages to his mother... As soon as he gave up smoking he stopped having to borrow money from her and now we're married and he pays most of his wages out in bill money he still has money in his account at the end of the month... I think that's one of the reasons his mother hates me... He doesn't rely on her anymore...

Oh and blessed relief... It's just cleared in the bank!

I just updated my sig! I didn't think I should have my bean text in pink in case people thought I was in team pink so changed it to Purple and got a bit carried away with the rest!

I think that's why you have a lack of it Mel lol... Cost us over £100 for decorating materials this month but I've lived in this house for nearly 8 years, always hated the bedroom and never done it before! The paper is up, just the plain walls we've lined need painting white which Hubby will be doing in Sunday and we're going to find carpet on Saturday... I can't wait till it's all done nicely!! Plus I have arranged a homeowner maintanence loan thing through the council so should be getting a new window in there once all the paperwork is sorted which will be great, I haven't been able to open the window in there for about 2 years!

:rotfl:Yep it does explain a few things....

No, to be honest I haven't had a splurge like this for a long, long time. Which is probably why we need so many things in one go. Everything is broken, or barely working.....the only frivolous buys were the iphones, as we really didn't need them. dh evan has another contract phone out which has just under a year left ot run on it:rolleyes:. Thankfully his mum is taking it over.

  • Talking of money - eventhough I have been on MSE for almost a year, I have never been on the money/DFW forums, as we don't have loans and only have 1 credit card. DH has always delt with all financial things, I just checked our CC and we pay over 20% APR  and our balance is almost £5k (We recently bought a lot of furniture on it as we wanted to be covered if the shop went under!) :o So just been looking at doing a 0% balance transfer for 14 months. I can't believe it's taken me so long to look into changing - we have been with the same CC for years and years. Doh!

    Afternoon, weekend, yeah!

Had my first wobbly bit today. Bubs hadn't moved much since yesterday so I spent all morning waiting. By afternoon was getting fretful so while kids were having golden time I sat in classroom with my feet on another chair until she had a wriggle, such relief. Children didn't bat an eyelid with me sitting like that in the middle of the room, they're so lovely.
Too many children, too little time!!!
