towels and towels and even more towels weezl and im not kidding i think we used around 10 towels in total dont know how or why?? put some over your radiator to keep them warm. also do you have the change mat type things looks like a big square that absorbs, they were very handy for on bed afterwards and also for standing on when getting out of the bath/shower. cant think at mo but will let you know if anything else comes to mind:D oh and also put baby clothes on rad before dressing them so they are cosy and dont get chilled!

your pool is fab! and sounds like youve got everything under control and organised

    Thanks Caz

I was wondering how many towels I would need...my midwife told me to have a few ready. She said they would need at least 2 for baby, for wiping down and then wrapping in, and then I would need a couple for getting a shower afterwards! So I have 2 put with the baby's clothes and I am just in the middle of doing a wash and dry with 5 more, so will put 2 aside for me too....
I have some of those change mat pads in my birth box that the midwife brought round (about 6-7 I think)

    Very helpful thank you

AM didn't realise you were having trouble with Aston at swimming? Whats happening?

Millie was awful at first at swimming club she would scream and cry and even made herself sick (over the instructor) she is getting better now but its been awful making her go when she's crying

Caz don't know about scotland but down here when you are signed off by the midwife you are passed on to the Health Visitor? hope it was just a one off and she hasn't got reflux
He's only been once, cried and was scared the whole time, but his lessons are in the main big pool, so he has to float the whole time.
I think it's a bit off them only giving him one chance in the little pool.

Can you get him splashing in the bath? Hardly a pool I know but if you talk to him about how the pool is just a really big bath maybe there is something you can say to calm him down (if you get scared just pretend you are in the bath - type stuff  )
He would live in the bath if he could lol

I am going to get dh to check our credit score tonight, I think it should be quite good, so hopefully shouldn't have any trouble getting a new deal, And then apply for a 0% card. I have got the Money saving bug now and I am seeing what else we can save money on!

i just remembered something, did you all know that sainsburys are 1/2 price on baby toiletries and *ahem* "new mum items" like towels and breast pads? i think it stops today or tomorrow though, breast pads a box of 40 for 85p, bargainous especially when mothercares or even tescos are £4-5 a box! my bathroom cupboard is stocked to overflowing now :D

At our pool they all start in the small pool but even then alot can't touch the bottom. If they cry the mums stand around the corner and the instructor just gets on with it. The lady who runs them says the worst thing you can do once you start is back down if they get upset as next time they will just scream louder, seems to make sense.
