a nice learning curve for both of you then :D

i think your daughter is only a week or so behind me and when my MW spoke to me last week about needing to deliver my baby at this point, all would be fine

i'm all excited for you now!!

  • candygirl - how is DD doing? 5 weeks early is fine (although still classed as prem) but I think I would have done my nut if I'd thought Bubba was coming that early!!

    Has she got everything sorted?

Hope she is getting lots of rest! and fingers crossed that she stays put, just for a little while longer :D

Lol, DS1 was 5lb5oz at 35 weeks! He was induced so no idea what 'normal labour' is like, though I did go into prem labour with DS2... but I insisted it was just dehydration and drank 2 jugs of water and to prove my point, contractions stopped. Anyway, DS1 was fine. I did have steroid injections to help his lungs prior to induction which help a lot. And he had jaundice, which is very common in pre term babies, but 1 week in SCBU 1 week in a room with me under phototherapy and he was fine. Now he is huge for his age!

Just hoovered the whole house, back hurts now. Having a sit down before I go and empty the rubbish out the car... I don't want a new car now, I like my own one! It's my first car and so there is an emotional attatchment.

used my angelcare doppler (I'm 12/2) and though no heartbeat, lots of noises like baby was moving about... does it pick up movement noise this early? I'm positive it was not intestinal noise (too low down). Reassuring and nice anyway.

  • Candy - it's going to be a loooooonng 5 weeks or so if she is thinking baby could make an appearance any day now!!

I have one VERY excited little boy painting his brothers bedroom at the moment - DSS was bouncing around so much I thought he was going to wet himself...turns out that he is just too excited about painting Bubbas room!!

And one hubby who seems to think that you can paint a room without using a single paint brush lol!

  • I did the chinese gender predictor and got GIRL.

The old wives tales questions you need to be far on the pregnancy to answer.

I have three boys and both sides of the family are quite boy dominated. However I think we had sex a few days before I was due to conceive so that leads me to think Girl too. Always been interested in gender predicition. Although I'd dearly love a girl it's quite a scarey thought too as I'm used to boys. Most of all though ofcourse I just want a healthy baby. There's no way I can go 9 months not knowing though.

Shoptodrop, I feel the same! Have a feeling this is a girl but don't you have to wipe their bums different? I suppose on the upside, no helicopter peepee! :rotfl:
