It's a really awkward situation for both you and your boss. You prob feel abit guilty for being preg around her & she's struggling to accept she is unable to have her own children. I went through IVF and although everyone has different experiences i personally felt worse when people tried to tiptoe around me. Of course i felt a stab of envy when people said they were (& thought why not me) but it was worse when people changed their discussions or avoided me when they were pregnant. Maybe you should ask her outright if you have a problem because you feel uncomfortable with things. Unfortunately it's something your boss has to deal with, but she shouldn't take it out on you.
Sending you lots of hugs & positive vibes.
Hope things get better for you.

She's got more teeth at 1yr than Chris has now at 2!! His teeth must be very comfy in there coz they really don't like coming out of those gums

Her teeth have always been a talking point, she got her first one at 7 weeks!!

She just turned 6 in Nov and already has quite a few of her 2nd teeth and most of her class havent got any yet !!!

  • Hi everyone!

Shouldn't be on here at work (oops) but I have just been through my purse and i have a boat load of Boots pregnancy vouchers from various clubs (from both my 1 year old and my new baby on board) and have 2 of loads as my hubby is also a member. TONS of them I won't use such as the 20% of avent bottles/sterilisers and monitors etc and the free Elle Mcphearson stuff so if anyone wants them please PM me your address and I will post them out now. They are in envelope ready to go.

Some go out of date end of March and some April. Someone might as well have them.

  • Hello All,

Went to see MW this morning:
Wee fine (despite having thrown a full sample over my bathroom floor this morning - tiled thankfully!!)

BP fine (despite having had a barney with my assistant just before I left)

Bubba is 2 fifths engaged (which means 3 fifths of his little head is firmly inside my pelvis - say from the top of his head to the bottom of his nose).

Movements fine (apart from the fact that he makes me cry sometimes with his bony elbows and he was trying to kick his dad out of bed this morning)

Swelling most likely to just be one of those late pregnancy things (although it had gone down this morning so I could wear my wedding ring again - yay)

    But!!

My bump measurements now put Bubba on the 90th centile line...which means that I am going for a growth scan on Monday to see how big he actually is and to check that he has enough fluid in there to keep him going.

That is...if he isn't here by Monday - the MW & the student MW seemed pretty convinced that he is working his way out...famous last words lol!!

Sami that was day 3 and he was off most of the machines! I saw him like that, then MIL produced all these pics of him with lots more (the respiration wires and I don't knwo what else) a few weeks after we were home. I tore them up, she wasn't amused and I told her to delete them from her camera or I'd smash the thing off the wall! I think it was just too much of a shock for me, she had no right to take them not when he was like that. Some folk think differently but I just couldn't face it. It's all wound up with denial and PTSD and her attiduted with DS1 (she kept grabbing him off me and saying that I was a stupid first time mother!). I was also upset that DH took her into see him before I had even seen him (I was lying dying at that point and she only came up to see the baby). This time he has been told that nobody but him and the boys get to see the baby before me if something similar happens. I know it sounds harsh but it's just my choice.

    Anyway, gender predicters...
