Mrs Moc, I think every hospital has it's own procedure but at ours, I went in early and was only 1cm, they put me on a ward for 12hrs then when I was 5cm moved me to a delivery suite... I might of stayed on the ward longer if the delivery suite was full though... Have you considered asking for a home birth to avoid the problems? (Although don't know if they'd let you with a vbac)
Thanks, that sounds much better and normal. Perhaps it was that way because it was the middle of the night and they were full
Im too afraid for a home birth, people think im an old timer at this birthing business, but they couldn't be further from the truth :rotfl:0 -

tink - sami posted a good list but I wouldn't recommend going back through her posts to find it...you would be there for a long time
AF - about time - on both counts! Did you ever answer me about earphones/speakers?
MrsT - you prob need to speak to your MW about your hips (can't remember if you have seen a physio?) but they will def not recommend that doing nothing all day is good for you or the baby!!! You have a long way to go yet, sitting at home shouldn't be the best answer for you, you need treatment.
i do know it's long over due. bit of a shock putting myself first for a change
i think the itouch can play sound without speakers or earphones (still struggling to get it to sync to itunes at the minute). i think i might use it more when waiting around (even this thursday if i can get the flippin thing to sync to get some music on it)
how are you today???0 -
You'll be bored out of your brain if you do nothing for the next 3 months or so! You need to get it sorted so you can keep active. My MW advice is still to keep as active as possible...

With DS2 despite ringing the labour ward and letting them know I was on my way there was no one on reception to let me in. I had to wait for a visitor to leave before I could get in! I got there at 4.30am and after putting me on a monitor they were going to send me home at 7.00am. However as it was rush hour they decided to keep my in for further monitoring and he was born at 10.32am.0

AF - itunes, you need to register with itunes and provide a card (for buying tunes) then when you plug the device it in, it sort of, automatically starts to sync...well that's what my iphone did anyway! You can then change the settings(in itunes) to choose what info you want it to sync each time and whether you want to sync it manually or automatically...Best thing to do is google, google, google!!that's how I managed to get it set up:)
Mel x
ohhhh... that is one of the things i thought it might be. i was too lazy to get out of bed last night and get my purse to put my card details in. will do so tonight.
if it's any help, walked past a clinton card shop this morning and they have a £25 itunes card for £20.
thanks mel :beer:0 -
