  • I happen to think I'm a damn fine husband since you ask and this is the SECOND TIME she has done this.

Alright, clearly she has mental health problems in relation to having access to cash but I'm just angry that this has happened again.

    Second time?
What did she spend it on last time?
  • Hard as it is, I hope you can find it in yourself to stand by her and keep the children's faith alive that family is always there for you, no matter what.

    And so you should be.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

You obviously need to get to the bottom of this with professional help. You can't do that without your wife's full co-operation.

You clearly don't need any lectures on loyalty.

Edited to agree with QTPie's subsequent post.

I know, I would be too... She clearly has big issues and needs counselling/therapy (it is probably some "cry for help" of some kind). You definitely need some good communication between the pair of you and some help from professionals: this sort of thing wont solve itself - she will probably do something again if it isn't properly ressolved... :(

Make her very aware that you love her and are sticking by her, but equally you need honesty and effort from her too (you need her to talk to you and start tackling her problems).

Good luck. I think that you are a brilliant person and a great husband.

Edited to say: I see LandyAndy had similar thoughts... :)

  • Hang on a minute, this is the second time that she has done this?

I wonder how many debts she has that you don't even know about.
It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.

    See my post #11..

This is, perhaps, the most innocent explanation.

The OP must surely know why it happened last time. We need that info to be able to help

If that's the case, then the quickest way to see would be to pull her credit report. And it would be in his best interest as well to do so since they are more than likely linked.

  • Wow, tough call.

One part of me says stick with her, help her through what is obviously a serious issue.

Another part says move on, make a new happy life with your children whilst you still can, the pain and heartbreak she has caused is huge.

The thing is I dont know you or her or any of your circumstances so it would be ill advised of you to listen to me or any other poster.

Just get help my friend, get some serious therapy for your wife and all of your family, im sure the repercussions have been felt by all of you.

More than anything I wish you well, I hope you are happy after all this has panned out, lifes too short and everyone deserves a good family life.

Good luck, I sincerely mean that.
