Are they the ones you've finished mum2one? Can you ask for an ECA remark?

Hi. the list is done and dusted, amd passed, I've spoke my old tutor, and he said that yiu can't ask for a remark, if you don't agree with the result, unless there was extenduating circumstances, so it looks like its going to be a re-do. Luckly kept the original on file, - as it was over 15, I do the re-do the assisgnment and not the course, it's so stupid but its just put me back a year. We're get there eventually xx

I haven't heard back from my email to them so guess I'm starting K218 in February...

Apparently they have been short of staff due to the weather as well.

Feeling a bit blue, I've got a place reserved on AA100 "The Arts Past and Present" for Feb (I'm currently doing "Starting With Maths") and have just had a phone call to say I've been awarded £200 towards the fee, leaving me with £450 stilll to find. I'm baffled because my husband was awarded £430, the full cost of the 30-pointer he's starting in February! So presumably either mine must be wrong, or his was! I'm going to leave it till the New Year to talk to Financial Support though, they are so busy atm and anyway I might cry on the phone :o.. we can't afford £450.

A couple of things came to mind, apologies if you have already thought that route.

I'm guessing the starting with Maths - was that after Sept this yr, that would be out of the 2010/11 grant year.

    or/ and

may be worth looking at the website as thou you were a "new" student and do the financial side to get an idea as to what your grant would be.

Hopefully ur get it all sorted in the New Year xx

ivyleaf - Did you have any funding towards "Starting with Maths"? You get a set amount of funds for each academic year - no matter how many courses you do.

    Hi all,
I've just come across this thread, it looks brilliant :) I started at the OU in Sept 2010, starting an Environmental Science degree with U116. I've signed up to start S106 in Jan. Scraping the cash together is kind of hard though - I graduated from Plymouth Uni this year, so as it's my second degree, I get no funding.
I'm really enjoying it though, and in the struggle to find graduate work, it's helping me keep positive whilst I work my rubbish cinema based job.
