That ones on my to do list. So far I've done D216, D319 both economics courses,DU301, U216, DD100, DB123, S103, SXR103, S278, DSE212 and I started S260 but had to drop out for personal reasons- it is my intention to go back to it when I've the time to do it. I started off in the social sciences but really enjoyed the science aspects of U216 so started to do science courses, now looking at the most recent prospectus the OU are introducing various finance courses that are catching my interest.

If you want to start level 1 finance, I'd recommend DB123, yoiu and your money, 30 point Level 1, its brilliant, I really enjoyed it, they've introduced a follw up new in May db234, registed for that but haven't had my course work yet.

Your have to let me know what B190s like, its one I've got my eye on, with doing db234, its opening another diploma or foundation degree up, just need the little fiddly points, like B190, and one of the openings courses.

I did start the Accounting 2 years ago, but it was so hard going, after 2 months still on week 3, so had to give it up.

Hi ZZiggi, I have done W100, doing w200 now, just finishing W221 (employment law) and starting W222 (business and consumer law) in May and W224 (family law) in Nov xxxx

    My word!

I did W100 last year, doing W200 this year but there is no way I could do another course at the same time! How on earth do you manage it?

Had to take an extension to the first assignment for W200, middle son went into hospital for a week (and then not very well and daily hospital checks for a week after that) and it meant no study and no doing of assignment while he was there! Made me feel very eeek to be honest although the circumstances could not be helped, I did try to carry on whilst he was in hospital but it was just impossible.

Now trying desperately to get TMA2 done, school holidays are not exactly suited to study with disabled children at home.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Hi Sue, sorry to hear about your son being in hospital, I hope he is ok now.

I do my studying in my lunch break at work and then after the kids are in bed from about 8pm onwards - it means the housework gets a bit neglected in the week though! I know what you mean about the kids being at home. My son who is 5 has a lot of additional needs so its impossible to study when they are awake. Luckily they are both OK sleepers so I can do it when they are in bed and sometimes if I am behind I clock out from work at 5 and stay until 6 to get an hours peace and study at work!

How are you finding TMA02? I have done the first part ok but struggling with what to write for the 2nd question - I know what I want to say, its just getting it out and on paper! xxxx

Just submitted my last ever assignment - an ECA! :T Ironically, the 2000 word ECA took more out of me than the 6k word TMAs ever did. Give me a course with an exam anytime!

That's been 10 years of study with the OU. I am hoping that's the addiction broken - I really didn't enjoy that last course- I loved the rest. If anyone hears me being drawn to sign up for Economics, Law, History, Languages - please pull me back.. :rotfl:

    Hi everyone :hello:

I've only just found this thread and was really excited :o

I've previously studied DD100, W100 and have gained a Cert in Legal Studies.

In July I am starting K209 and am wanting to study towards an Open Degree. I haven't had chance to read the whole thread yet, but if anyone has any experience of the K209 course I'd be very grateful :D

Please add me to the list please :o

    sweet x

eta- I forgot to say, my future courses will be A215, A363 and EA300.

Well - the celebrations have come to an abrupt end....

Just had an email from the OU saying my ECA was two days late -I got the date wrong, totally my fault- and they are not accepting it for marking.

Lots of very bad words coming out right now. Emailed them to ask if I can appeal but not looking good...
