I start BU130 (Foundation Degree in Business) next week.
First module is "Working and learning: developing effective performance at work", having being given a credit transfer for 90 points for the 1st level.0 -
Hi everybody! I have just registered for the Open Degree to start in February, looking forward to starting. :j I have a question about choosing modules, if there's no "select" next to a module, does that mean it's full or might it open up at a later date? I am interested in a couple related to working with children and young people but none are available for me to choose.
Edit: I think I've sussed it out, the other courses are October start only, and I've decided to go for dd131 and db123

I was doing DD101 and K101, postponed until new year - have found it very hard to combine studies and having a toddler, and working. I know many have done and are doing it - but I think I might have to wait til my son is at school at this rate0

If its a 6 mth presentation they usually rin twice a year, so they tend to have one registration period open at a time;
Your love DDB123 - its a cracking course, Good luck xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Arrghhh... two mahoosive boxes of stuff have arrived. I should be used to this by now
Just realized one of the courses has an exam. The last time I sat an exam was over ten years ago...
One of them seems a lot for a 30pt course (my last courses were all 60 pts)
Hope everyone is getting on okay. My module websites don't open until the end of week so I am just waiting to get started.:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
I haven't been on this thread in a while.
I've spent today working on my first TMA for my current (and last) OU course - it's only 1000 words, divided into three sections - is it really worth the effort?!
How's everyone else doing on their courses? And good luck to everyone just starting!Back after a very long break!0 -
I have an interesting first TMA, describe your current job role and areas of improvements.
Which is a good thing to start with, however come the 15th November that job-role disappears and either I get another job or I'm out on the dole.
Not the best mind set to be in when trying to read and do the tasks0 -
I started my OU degree about 3.5 years ago. Now in my last 'year' and will graduate by next September (although waiting an extra year for the ceremony, so I can stand up there with my OH). It's been a very difficult few years (lots of moving homes, illness, job changes, lack of money...), so I will be very very relieved to finally have that 2:1 BA under my belt. I'm hoping I'll finally be able to earn a decent salary by the time I'm 30 once I'm able to apply for graduate positions. Roll on September!Savings: £60,029.70 (+ I don't know how much BTC/ETH)
Investments: Not sure
Daily Breathing Salary (DBS): £1.14
Debt: £0.00 :j0 -
Hi everyone, my names Anna, i just turned 19 and i just finished my first module (w100) with the OU in September, I hope to complete the LLB (law degree) in 2016, and i hopefully, if i've passed *fingers crossed* start the next module, W200 in February.0

:hello: welcome to the thread Anna
I have just started the LLM - although my background isn't law (I'm a scientist), which is why it's a bit scary for me, but it looks fun!
Mind you, I always say that until two days before TMAs are due in!
Sorry it's stressful for you atm Kite
I hope all goes well for you on the 15th.
