Hi, I'm wondering if someone can help. I'm thinking of studying Health and Social Care: Mental Health Pathway with the OU. I'm confused about how to pay for the course. I've studied with the OU before but never completed the course. I'm currently receiving ESA. My income each year is not very much.

Hi Sugar Coated Owl, do you already have a degree? If not, then you can now get a student loan to pay for the fees.

I don't have a degree, no. I started one with the OU but never finished it. Will that matter?

    Hi everyone,

Thought I should join. Am due to complete K101 in September and have just had funding approved for K272 and K218 starting in September  Looking forward to getting started on the new modules. I'm working towards a degree in Health and Social Care but have a long way to go yet.

It may slightly limit your funding but your regional centre should be able to advise you. By slightly, I mean you'll probably only have one more chance to change/stop a module mid-way through, the rest should be funded.

I really enjoyed K272 and it's definitely worth doing K225 after for the Certificate in Mental Health along the way too - try to avoid overlapping them though as they are very similar and it's confusing for the exams. I did K218 in its first presentation too.

    Hi,

I really hate the course hun, its not what I expected and extremely hard and time consuming. Have you joined the FB forum? It is a power of strength for me.

Ha ha oh cool, well thanks for that. I would be lost without it. What tutor do you have? I am still waiting for mine, very nervous. I hate my tutor because she is totally rubbish!
