    Hi,
Wonder if you can help me, i purchased the Aldi Generator Iron after reading good reports from this site, the only thing is sometimes i get water coming out with the steam and its soaking the clothes. It doesnt happen all the time, and the generator is left on to heat up correctly. Any ideas? is there something wrong with me or possibly the iron? :(

hi, if its any help ive used a Polti vaporetto steam cleaner for some years now with various appliance add ons, when i use the iron as the pressure builds up there is some moisture build up in the insulated pipe line which i have to clear so the steam can work to its full potential. When i leave the iron for longer periods of time while i sort garments, make a cuppa and turn the roast a residue of water can build up in the pipe. All i do is give the button a press to clear it befor i start ironing again which ensures i dont get a blobs of water. I feel rely sad disclosing this but hey if it helps!

I found this happened when the steam setting on the back of the unit was too high

I too have just started getting water coming out aswell, I have tried turning down the steam setting, and putting up cord up in the cord hanger to avoid it, but its still happening. I came on her this morning because i know others had problems and wanted to see what they tried.
  • Me too.I have turned down the temperature thingy and pressed the steam button to let some steam out but it still happens.Any advise anyone? It doesn't happen all the time so presume must be something I'm doing .

we had this also but for a full tank you have to wait about 15mins and not the 7/8 mins suggested before hitting the steam button/ using if you dont wait long enough then it will drip water.
ours has been fine since we found this out

am I the only person that's disappointed with it then??? Perhaps I was expecting too much but it doesn't seem to be much better than the old steam iron. :(

Plus, I've burn't my fingers twice while lifting sleeves off of the board.

I must admit I have only used it a few times and so should really iron a few more shirts before deciding on it.

One drawback I found though, was that you need to keep your old iron too as if you only want to iron a couple of things it would be a waste to put this one on and take too long also. ;)

same problem here as water dripping out. Bt it only happened when I used it before it fully heatted up, say 8 minutes, s suggetsed by the manu. Hopefully it would not persistent.
