Just to update, I am very impressed with this iron & board (which goes mega high so ideal for my back). 1st time I've ever ironed a pair of jeans & only had to do 1 side.

I've just been into Aldi to collect Olive Oil (moneysaving style) and saw these irons. Now I wish I'd bought one!

There are loads in Aldi at Quedgeley if anyone is in Gloucestershire but can you leave one for me please?

  • Plenty of irons and boards left in store. Picked up one of each, got them home only to find the board has been bashed and subsequently has a big dip on one side. Going back later for an exchange !!!
    Matched betting profits since 11/10/06 = £1,554

  • Just picked one up from Stevenage. They had loads left and quite a few ironing boards too.

Picked an iron up in Westerhope, Newcastle today but they had no ironing boards left. Anyone know if anywhere around Newcastle has them.

It's not quiet but not that loud (saying that I switched the tumble dryer off when I was using it as the 2 together were a bit much.).
  • my friend said she couldnt hear the tv over the noise of the iron, i like to watch tv while ironing do you think you could?
  • I got the Russell Hobbs one, it is noisy at first but doesn't seem too bad once it gets going. I am sure you could watch TV at the same time.
