Go on then Shez try it out and please come back and let us know what you think. I am sitting here undecided whether to nip out to Aldi or not. DH will say that I am wasting money if I go out and buy them as I have an ironing lady. But she only does the ironing once a week so I usually iron once a week as well and I cannot abide ironing.
  • My poor dad. he lives in barnsley nearer to an Aldi than me I'm in Greater London. I've already rung him once and sent him for the 17" moniter. now I've sent him back down for the Iron. I've always wanted one on these my friend has one of the expensive ones when I go to visit I take my Ironing with me. How sad am I.

Got mine this morning in Aldi Rutherglen and was debating a board as well, but last one was nabbed just before me - think they did me a favour though as I don't really need one Just can't resist a bargain :D

Got mine this morning along with ironing board and well impressed with the ease of ironing. Went there before it opened just in case there was big rush. In the event, there was a massive queue of 1 – he had no intention of buying the iron. There were loads around (Leicester) if anybody is still interested.
  • Got to Aldi Bootle at 11am and all ironing boards had gone! Anyone live in or around Merseyside and know of an Aldi which has plentiful stocks of them?

  • Just been to ALDI Glasgow (Robroyston), got an iron but all ironing boards sold out...I'll just need to be earlier next time!
  • Got an iron and ironing board at Aldi Swanley, they had loads of both left at about midday today. Just been cutting through this weeks laundry at great speed - never used this type of iron before and so far I am mightily impressed. The board is nice and big too, gets all my shirts done in no time :j
  • I bought the Russell Hobbs one last night and couldn't wait to use it on the Jeans that have been waiting to be ironed for a couple of weeks ( I leave them until they are needed cos I hate ironing them!), it was great just glided through them so easy, wish I had bought one years ago. Couldn't wait to get home today to do my ironing! (how sad is that?)

Got my iron and board today at Spennymoor Aldi. They had 2 green boards in store, I wanted a blue one so I asked and the girl got me one from the back. Great, I haven't tried it yet though.
