mum2one - When I had gastro..all I wanted desperately was a glass of ice cold blackcurrant....mmm I think I hallucinated about it - couldn't even keep water down so I'm quite convinced I was badly dehydrated. Know what you mean about dry toast, my first meal (xmas eve 07) was a plain jacket potato, boy do I know how to celebrate xmas!!:D hope you are feeling better now :)

rainmac - Mad!??! us!?!?NEVER!! :D I also need an inventive mothers day gift to go with chanel dry oil body spray and journal jar. something special is needed this year

    [strike]I [/strike]Mum also got Qype voucher today:T

One thing with any of your vouchers, don't hold on to them too long girlies, you never know who will be going bust next unforunately these days

jamtart - what do you mean by special pressie for your mum? How about a quote book (with quotes about mums generally or ones specifically about your own mum); special box... http://www.craftbits.com/viewProject.do?projectID=453; homemade cake/biscuits/choccies...

Thanks for the idea about putting papers on ebay - may well do so as there are some of the dovecraft ones that I know I'll never use.

Make sure you share the link when you are done ;)

Jamtart how is the elbow? I looked back but can't see what you have done to it? think I must be braindead today!

Goochie - sorry to hear about your gran, hope she is on the mend soon.

PLM - I know you are not here, but hope yout littlys are feeling a bit better.

Rainmac - how many days is it now?

I had my qype voucher arrive today :D ... really chuffed, although no plans to spend it ... wonder if I could sell it on ebay? ... meh I might just find something but it really feels wrong to spend that kind of money when that kind of money would feed us for just short of a month :rotfl: Oh lordy look me me I am in one of them moods :(

Just got back from the doctors, I have a prescriptions galore, and diaralyte, doc says if she doesn't drink that and I don't have any wet nappies before 2am then I have to take her to the hospital and she is starting to dehydrate ... needless to say I am at every available opportunity (like when she isn't sleeping) trying to get her to drink as I know what will happen if she has to go there!

On a brighter note I have completed 1 journal jar and pad and really happy with how it turned out, just another 3 to go and if the moms don't like them then nuts to them, they have the choice a MSE pressy which is expensive in thought or nothing as we have no money :D

  • Afternoon one and all!

Thanks for all the ideas and welcomes.

    So my list is:

March - Friend's birthday - have £7 on Boots card and got £3 of LV thru from Pinecone today - so got £10. Am thinking smellies or a photoframe!!!

All my other points/totals are in my signature.

I do have some spondoolies from a couple of cashback accounts but nothing has paid out yet, when they do I'll try and use those for presents or if not, they'll be going towards my debts.

I was thinking about any of the vouchers I get M&S / Sainsbury's that I would exchange them with colleagues/friends for the cash and put it towards my debts but I think I may be better off saving it all up for Birthdays/Xmas?

Will pick a weekend when OH is around and I will drag him into all the charity shops to look for perfect presents.......

For MIL's birthday tomorrow, I registered for Greetz.com and got a free card and I got cashback too - so a double whammy.

Not sure what we are doing presentwise for her - OH may have something planned.

    Have a great day all.
** Proud to be dealing with my debts **

Should be 4 but he phoned this afternoon and said work isn't going as well as it should and he will probably have to stay longer - aaarrrggghhh      I was planning a welcome back pizza hut meal with vouchers for Monday night too, maybe I will just say sod him and his work and go with the kids anyway ;)

So sorry about little miss Rusty, she must be feeling so rough (as must you I know). Sending big hugs (for you both) and cyber choccie (for you).

Fab news about the journal jar, did you enjoy making it? I loved making mine :D

How about one of these exploding box cards... http://glitteradventure.blogspot.com/2006/11/exploding-box-class.html. Could even hide a small gift inside?

Hope that elbow of yours is much better soon, bruises can really hurt!!!

rainmac love those boxes and love the papers she's used too. Thinking mothers day...?!

Ahh, here's some mse thinking - my hubby ran me a bath last night when I came in off my hour long trek with the dog, he had put tea lights all over the room, so I was thinking on a night time switching to candles - I probs have enough candles and tea lights lying around, save the pennies on lighting...

    ok slap me now...

he also bought me a cherry brandy ice lolly and a wham bar - ha ha he's the best, wow the romance eh girls, hee hee
