How about one of these exploding box cards... http://glitteradventure.blogspot.com/2006/11/exploding-box-class.html. Could even hide a small gift inside?

Hope that elbow of yours is much better soon, bruises can really hurt!!!
Beat you to it I'm afraid :rotfl: it was that suggestion that won me the runners up prize in the Festive Fivers!

It was easy to make and came out well, here is some pictures of mine...

My funnybone was NOT laughing when I hit the elbow! :rotfl:

rainmac love those boxes and love the papers she's used too. Thinking mothers day...?!

Ahh, here's some mse thinking - my hubby ran me a bath last night when I came in off my hour long trek with the dog, he had put tea lights all over the room, so I was thinking on a night time switching to candles - I probs have enough candles and tea lights lying around, save the pennies on lighting...

    ok slap me now...

he also bought me a cherry brandy ice lolly and a wham bar - ha ha he's the best, wow the romance eh girls, hee hee

aww check out old romantic scattydad :T Candles are probably FAR cheaper than electricity - I dont blame you for thinking of doing it!

So sorry about little miss Rusty, she must be feeling so rough (as must you I know). Sending big hugs (for you both) and cyber choccie (for you).

Fab news about the journal jar, did you enjoy making it? I loved making mine :D

Oh no thats awful!!! bet you were mad :( I think you should still go to pizza hut ;) give the boys a treat :p I am sitting eating yummy pizza for my tea :D ...

I've put little missy to bed, she has spent all day cat napping, her temp is now rising even though she has calpol and I have managed to get some diaralyte down her (only 4 oz but it is a start!) Hoping she will be much better tomorrow, not sure how she is coping but she is a little superstar!

I loved making it, I will take some piccies later on and post on here cause they are for mothers day :)

Thank you for all of the well wishes everyone. I feel like my kids are always poorly so I shan't bore you with the details.. woe betide me, eh LOL

Goochie i'm sorry to hear you had yet more bad new but am glad you managed to release some tension in shopping!

Rainmac Sorry to hear your husband isn't coming home but he must feel so lucky to have such an understanding and wonderful wife. Pizza hut alone sounds awesome.. don't forget a doggy bag :D

Rusty I hope the little un is getting better today the poor little beautiful xx It's a horrible thing :( I think I preferred half term.. one day back at school and they're all ill!!

Choco Orange Elf pouches and Terrys chocolate fingers.. what a night in!

On tuesday I tackled my hallway. I wish WISHHH wish I had taken a picture because it was ridiculous. When I first moved in I piled all of the things from Lee's attic in the wall (bearing in mind my 'hall' is just a meter square at the bottom of the stairs that is the doorway!! It was piled high and hasn't been touched for four years. I can't even begin to describe the dust and dead spiders that were all over everything.. ah dear.. Anyway.. It is now an empty clear space with no clutter.. I DID IT!!!

Trust me to run myself ragged then the kids come home ill.. d'oh!! LOL Only me.

This is so ridiculous but I think I have gastro today LOL I started puking this morning and have such sore intestines ahh dear hope no one is eating.

Hope everyone else is well and enjoying QVC craft day :D:D

  • Mel Get well soon xxxx ... I have just said to OH I feel funny ... I have stomach cramps and I am hoping it is just a passing thing! ...

Aurora VO is rubbish for me aswell, to the point I have given up from it and mark the mails as spam now! I am on £6 with one poll though so still a fair way to go for £40 but worth it as it has taken me about 1 week to get £6 :)

These are 2 (well almost 2, I have another Jar to do) out of the 4 journal jars I need for mothers day .... I made matching bookmarks aswell :)

rusty fab journals - I love those papers! hope your little one is better and that you don't get it.

PLM hope you and your two are getting better

rusty and aurora valued opinions...what a waste of time! I think I have done one survey so far:mad:

aurora - lovely pie looks yummy!

all this talk of gastro...I think that's what I had on Monday. woke up with bad stomach pains and feeling sick. luckily only had a few pains during the day and it had gone by the evening. so hopefully you will all be the same and it won't last long. I just thought I had eaten too much dairy as that makes my stomach go iffy...
