Those notebooks and bookmarks are absolutely brilliant, how did u do them, complete novice,
hope dd goes on ok xx
Thankyou, I was inspired by Rainmac, I saw the beauiful ones she did and so decided to do them for mothers day. I bought a cheapy book from wilkos (one was 79 and had a matt finish which is perfect) and the other (pink) was 69p and has a gloss finish but I am annoyed with this one as my paper is lifting once the glue is dry so I will take the others back and but matt ones.
I just stuck paper on and then trimmed with a craft knife. for the prompts again Sarah gave me a flying start and emailed me some prompts, I just printed them off and cut them then folded in half and half again. For the bookmark I used a template which I found on the net, printed that out on card, cut out the heart and trimmed the edges, scored the middle, stuck remainder of matching paper on and then glued together and added ribbonI can email the link if anyone wants it.

Hello everyone, by gum you do post a lot for a girl to read at this time of night!
Lovely to see all the crafty ideas though - i must look up some of them properly when I'm a bit more awake.
Hope the poorly kiddies are better enough to give you all some kip tonight. Must get to bed in a minute myself.......
YIPPEE :jn our house...ghastly work inspectors have gone, so now DH will calm down!
I've just been Christmas shopping again, on amazon, (slap mouse wrist).....the Young Ones complete on DVD. OK I admit it, it's for me but but,...the children did enjoy watching the episode with University Challenge on.....(and the headless Viv in a train) in fact I got a good ten minute break from the usual bickering.
I shall put it in DH's wardrobe for him to wrap up for me and I will undoubtedly have forgotten about it by Xmas and get a nice surprise. I know it's a bit pathetic :obut it saves him having to go out and spend more money on stuff I probably don't even want and anyway it will be more expensive by then,....etc etc........... i'm sure you know all the excuses:eek:0 -
Morning all! Thank goodness it's Friday, last day at work for the week........I love my job but love a Friday even more!
We have a rather busy weekend ahead. Swimming in morning, and kids are going ice skating in afternoon. It's dd2's b'day on Tuesday so we are starting celebrations early! My niece is taking them on rink. I fell on backside last year and broke my coccyx (tail bone) and really don't want to go anywhere near an ice rink ever again! She is taking 2 friends and grumpy son &dd1 with her.
Then on Sunday we are going to cinema to see Inkheart, it's on Odeon Movie Mob and costs £2.50 for child only. Her 2 best friends in the whole wide world are coming but she doesn't know yet, cue screaming and girly giggles when we pick them up!! Then a quick bite to eat....somewhere cheap!!
All her gifts have been bought for ridiculous prices and beautifully wrapped in paper and ribbon all reduced. Am I a cheapskate mummy? or a thrifty gifty one!!!!
Enjoy your day! Mx0 -

mhagster - Sounds like you will have a fantastic weekend, also sounds like your little girl will have the best birthday ever! Happy birthday to her.
I snipped your post as I wanted to say you are a thrifty gifty mummy not a cheapskate, but also you have made me feel better about what I have done. For the last few weeks I have picked up little things for my daughters birthday which were brand new but very cheap on ebay, a puzzle RRP £15 I paid £4 delivered, and a WTP tabletop kitchen RRP £35 I paid £9.89 delivered so saved £36 and made a start on littlys pressys, I am still watching and bidding on other things aswell
Thankyou Sarah, I did also notice the layout to qype, it looks so different
I had my voucher yesterday, but hopefully they will do more cause it was really easy to do it all for what you get in return!
Tigger - here is a link to the competition which Mel is winninghttp://creativitylifemag.blogspot.com/

Morning all
Feeling a lot better today.
Aurora14 - I know what you mean about Valued Opinions, I have been invited to do about 7 surveys and only been accepted for 2, so a whole £2 so far - I'm sure I read somewhere that they pay more than £1 a survey and that you get loads, obviously I don't meet the criteria!
PLM - Thanks for your good wishes, I hope you and the family are all feeling better soon. Well done on clearing the hall, it's always such a good feeling once it's done. I decided to pull everything out from under the bed a couple of weeks ago and have a clean/tidy and couldn't believe how much carp and dust there was under there, I was filthy when I finished.
Jamtart - love the exploding box and had a look on your blog, lots of lovely stuff you are talented.
Rusty - hope your DD is feeling better, and I love your journal jars and bookmarks.
Bunbun - Thanks for your note re: granny. Unfortunately, we can't get to Dorset to visit until at least next weekend, and we're not sure where she will be then, so waiting for updates from my uncles and we'll take it from there. I put a package together of all her favourites sweets and things and some hand wipes and bits and bobs that she might like. Social services have said they will check in on Grandad every day while Gran's in hospital and my uncles are visiting too.
JordanShannon - good luck on the job search, something will come up soon, fingers crossed.
Sorry if I have missed anyone, have a lovely day.0
