DD has a sealed tin in which we put coppers and five pences and the occasional 10p and when it's full we said she could buy whatever she wants from disney - well - we opened it and there was nearly 50pounds in there. Seemingly her grandma (my mil) has been putting pounds and fivers in (fab), we've had it since christmas, so she's going to have a field day.
And no extra money is going on our day out then except for a meal out but we've decided on burger king - one cos it's cheaper and two cos there's some fab new burger my husband wants to try!!!!!!!
Eventually got dd's birthday present so waiting for about 15.00 cashback and still trying to get my fridge freezer sorted with cashback too. Hoping the cash back will have a big part in money neutral christmas.
Got about a fiver from ipsos yesterday for a looooong survey.
And I sorted out my present cupboard yesterday so I can see what is in there now :-)
Have a god weekend everyone xxx
Wow thats brilliant, bet she will have a fab time, and be spolit for choice.
If I take dd to Chester....Disney has to be our 1st stop xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi guys! It is about time for a new thread as we are nearing 4000 posts - wow!
Anyway, I have taken the decision to semi-revert back to how the threads used to run as I am not finding money neutral to be very effective for me with the lovely Thrifty Gifty thread being so busy these days - and at this rate I'm going to be skint for Christmas!
Pinkladymel will be restarting the continuation of this thread (unsure if it will be called Thrifty or Organised Christmas... watch this space) which I envisage to be an exact continuation of how the thread is at the moment (minus the money neutral challenges) but I don't think you will notice any difference to your thread.
I'll be re-opening Money Neutral thread (as Thrifty Gifty Money Neutral of course) which I envisage to be more of a diary type area, to keep us updated on how your eBay selling/car boot selling/surveys etc. totals are coming along in the run up to the big day (or other celebrations). I have really felt that because Thrifty Gifty is so busy these days (which is great
) that I seem to miss alot of these posts (particularly as not everyone takes part) and therefore have been really poor at being money neutral, hence the descision to splinter(!)-group. Hopefully some of the survey people/eBay people (and anyone else of course) will also join in on the new thread....it will be like a separate thread like when we had the 5 week challenge....it is not any sort of rival group - please let me make that clear! The threads should compliment each other, but hopefully in a clearer way! You are not getting rid of me that easily!
Anyway..I will pop on over to start the new thread then link back to it here ASAP. MONEY NEUTRAL THREAD HERE
[Mel should be starting the new Thrifty/Organised thread soonEDIT: HERE IS THE NEW THREAD FOR ORGANISED CHRISTMAS]
Please do not post below here, hopefully this thread will be locked asap.

Just so that all of the confused people understand,
Back in t'olden days me and Jammy run two seperate threads. Hers is aimed towards being money neutral (so it's all about money and how to get it, saving it etc) and mine was aimed towards being organised for all occasions. Jammy has now decided she would like the threads seperate again so here we are.
Sorry to cause any confusion:A
