  • Rusty & PML sorry to here about your littluns, I have had gastrothingy before too and it really is painful...I hate it when the younguns are ill as I just feel sooo sorry for them, my ds always says ' i don't like it' in a crying voice like he is supposed to!! Get well soon Rusty and PMl babes x

Hi to everyone tonight, I am not very organised at the moment, but I do have the following

Nieces Birthay present- April - sorted (paid for with cashback)
DD's birthday presents - March - sorted (cashback and boots points)main pressy sizzlin kitchen from Boots sale
friends daughters birthday last week, present bought using argos vouchers earnt from last Christmas spends...

Already had dh and ds birthday in Feb, all presents from previous cashback earnt - yay

Sisters baby due early April, bought all the bits to do her a nappy cake (apart from the nappies and a cuddly toy) again from cashback

    £50 M&S vouchers
    £15 Ebay pot
    £10 Boots voucher - pigsback
    £50 cashback (quidco)
    £30 Boots points
    £5 Morrisons voucher from petrol

I also took advantage of a mobile phone cashback deal, so pay £30 a month for the contract, but will be getting the whole 12 months contract money back (first one after 6 months and then 2 more after the next 2x3 months) was a really good deal with Phones4U.(if it works)....needed the phone for dh anyway so am counting the cashback as my christmas savings.

    So far,all presents nuetral..

I had a good Jan for cashback, but it was 2 lots of around £90 that had been delayed, one from last April and the other from June...was hoping to use them for Christmas but anyway at least they have given me a good start to this year...

Only problem I have now is buying craft supplies (unfortunately not nuetral :o ) but doing my best to pick up bargains....

Hello, may I join in the lunacy please?
You all sound like such lovely people.....I've just been having a rant on another thread about my car and it put it into perspective, reading about your poorly children. I hope they are feeling MUCH better soon and no doubt the thought of their mums planning stuff with Santa already is helping them.
Mine haven't been that ill for ages...touch wood. However DH is suffering from man-gastroenteritis so is using up most of my sympathy.
    Ah yes...christmas 2009...and the rest.......
Weel, we did well on Valentine's Day... I was given a box of chocolates which everybody helped me scoff, and a most disgraceful card which I can't put on the mantelpiece cos then I would have to explain it to the kids, and even the 13 year old would probably be totally bemused. (Thank goodness it was from the DH, at least!)

I gave him a nice semi-homemade card (Waitrose froggy one I knew he would love, with some added sequins).

Mother's Day...now, how do I work this one? We usually seem to end up doing expensive journeys up and down motorway for hours which seems a bit of a rubbish way for the only driver (me!) to spend Her special day.
On the other hand I wouldn't want to hurt my Mum's feelings. She says we should move nearer (ie less than 6 hours drive) - not practical + would probably end in divorce.....
Am coming to the conclusion that our family is bad for the planet.

hi aloise and welcome to the madhouse :)

can you suggest a mothers day weekend on a different weekend to your Mum, by making it a 2 day event it will seem more special - perhaps book a spa day or something and say you can only get it that weekend, thereby having to spend YOUR mothers day at your own home? :)

Its no problem at all, feel free to moan about the car - problems big or small, if they are big enough to upset you they are big enough to be shared here :) .

My blooming elbow is SO sore I'm convinced my arm might fall off!!! Banged it on the desk SO hard its gone all black. I did say, in an EXTREMELY dramatic voice "I THINK IT MIGHT BE BROKEN" whilst bending it back and forwards:rotfl: (I think its just fine! No A&E for this family tonight hopefullly! :))

Oooh lots of newbies, i'm not the newest newbie now :j Welcome to this lovely thread, i've only been here a few days but everyone has been very nice and welcomed me with open arms :)

I got very confused today when everybody started going on about Rudolph :rotfl: Now I know ;) I shall remember for next month. I have wrote my birthday list out, haven't got as far as deciding what to get everybody yet though.

My sister and neice are going to get Journal Jars for their birthdays, I know that much. My sister has always been one for keeping a diary so I think she'll like it. And my neice will be 11 so it might be nice for her to start keeping a diary. She loves writing so think she'll enjoy it :)

I posted my mums presents today and I nearly died when they said how much the postage was.....£8.25  I wasn't happy but they had to be posted :o So in total including the postage I have spent £45 on my mum for her birthday and only £10 of that was using vouchers (boots) But I am due £70 from quidco soon so I am going to put that in my money neutral pot :)

I've got £12 on my boots card. Nearly £300 in tesco clubcard deals ;) Although there isn't that much you can get in terms of gifts. I've got over 5000 ipoints and there's about 2000 on OH's account. I need to try and sell my wedding dress and then I will use that as well. I am going to try very hard to get organised and try and use all of the above for presents as best I can :D

I've already got wrapping paper and gift tags leftover from last christmas, so shouldn't need much more of that come next christmas :D

Okay I am off to bed. Night  xx
 Think happy & you'll be happy
    I :heart2: my doggies
