OH has had our card declined a couple of times but fortunately the last time I was in the car park at the Holiday Inn so I missed all the excitement as I was defrosting the car . You know, a few of you have said you didn't join until the threads were conjoined but i'm absolutely sure you was in the original thread! Wow.. feels like forever ago now.:D

I don't want to seperate us up or anything, Just Jammy hadn't seemed 'posty' lately and then she was all excited and exuberant over her thrifty challenge so I wondered if my chat and christmas rubbish was doing her head in. As it turns out, she loves it all and i'm a donkey. EEE AWWWWW.

I was very good and didn't buy anything from QVC NSD. What a disaster. It cut off half way though for a fire alarm THEN they had Kirsty showing a CARD making software.. it's A NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY SHOW!! Can't wait for craft day on monday, I think the TSV is some crappy decoupage Kanban large card kit but I am salavating waiting for K and Company :T

RainMac I went to the bank when we had that really bad snow and it was so hard to get out because I have a broken pelvis and it's dangerous! I handed over my card to withdraw the money like I had done this time every single week for the past 3 years and the lady said my signature didn't match the one on file. I couldn't believe it.. it's MY signature!! I said I had some letters and things but she started saying i'm sorry but that could be anyones I need your real card, IF you have the real card. By the point everyone in the queue thought I was a thieving gippo. I got back in the car and I cried! I felt totally humiliated and also fed up that I had to get Lee to drive all the way home and back. :rolleyes: IDIOTS!

Sarah I hope your mags are worth some money. Have you thought about ringing Tesco customer services? It's not as scary as it sounds and they usually give you a tenner Sorry you had such a rubbish adventure

Rusty I'm really glad you got a diagnosis, if the Ibuprofen doesn't work (after fair chance) get back there quick so that you can work out a painkiller that does before OH might work away. Lee had to have so many different ones as they would either knock him out for a day or have no effect. Hope you get some nice crafting done tonight xx

Have to confess to being a bit of a lurker on here...........I'm amazed at some of the ideas you all come up with.
The magazine one.......well I've only got one.........1953 Home Companion (knitting patterns, short stories.....that sort of thing). Think Mum kept it with it being the year of the Coronation. I did type it into e bay but nothing came up so I kept it just for historic reasons really.
I try to be thrifty -needs must - not so good on the money neutral thing though..............still, can't be all things.
Desparately need some cheap ideas for christmas presents -think everyone had a pot of gold and flannel reindeer last year.............lol

Rusty - sciatica is very painful - I had that the other year......stupidly tried to shift a flower tub full of soil.............pain killers made me feel I was on a different plant so I went to local aromathery massage lady. I could hardly walk and it took six weeks to get right (won't mention the £25 a time..........:eek:) but it worked so was worth the expense.

rainmac - how awful for you........had that happen to me once - most embarassing even when you know youre right and the moneys in the bank.
Glad your Mum's getting on ok. Bit of an ordeal for her.

Will pop in more regularly in future. You're all having such a fun time.............lol:rotfl:

Bag lady is still at 4 and a half bags - the half one has been pulled out twice so far as a double thread of scruffy stuff - this was impossible to knit with - it looks lovely knitted up but it has no parents :rotfl:

I am so backward at all this technology stuff! Haven't got a clue what to do really but will persevere and let you know asap all about my little bloggy all of my own
