Especially after me doing very little to even complete the challenge!!

My grand total was a shocking approximation at £38.30!!! :o

So our thrifty total is slightly higher!!;)

    :DHi everyone :D

I've been quiet for a while as I wasn't sure if I was still welcome :o but just had to come and say
    WELL DONE EVERYONE
    on such fantastic totals :T:T:T:j:j:j
Mine will hopefully continue as it gave me a kick to join some survey sites and quidco too.
Rusty - hope things go ok for you and oh, and you decide whats best for all of you (and that includes you too).
Jammy - thank you, thank you, thank you - I have 2 carrier bags of old bunty/ judy comics waiting to go in the recycling at the mo, and know I've got piles of old mags at my mums which I was just going to chuck out, so will investigate selling them instead :j:j
Edit - OMG, they're selling old smash hits magazines for £3 to £30 a copy, and there's about 4 years worth at my mums

Forgot to say, I only joined after it became 1 thread so I can't really compare, but I do like it as it is.

Also I have just spent £30 on craft stuff I prob won't use, so its not all good news :rotfl:

And finally - if anyone has PMed me in the past 48 hours can they resend it please cos I hit the delete button before I read them, instead of the move button :o:o:o Thanks

I never went on the thrifty thread prior to the 2 threads being combined, but I was always on the Christmas one partly as I had tried to set up a similar thread about organizedchristmas the previous year!! I love Christmas and I love the long build up to it and I really love the actual fabulous festivities!! It was great to be among similar minded mad christmas loving nutters!!

I like the threads being combined as without it I would prob just continue being gifty but forget about the thrifty!! I am not very good at it but have joined quidco (who can forget the bingogals!) survey sites and most recently bingoport and i am trying to get my butt in gear to get organised to sell stuff on ebay again... with the help of some great people on here I am doing it finally!! (thanks for the special support from my 2 ebay challenged chums!!)

Short answer can we keep it as One???

    Welcome back Skiergirl :j :j :j

I have just come back from the doctors ... she seems to think I am a very angry person ... but what does she expect when she tells me that the pain in my leg would go away if I lost weight  cheeky cow!

PLM was right it is sciatica, apparently I have lower back damage probably from carrying the children and it is currently deciding to rest on my nerve hence the pain. I am now armed with a massive box of strongest ibruprofen going and the cheeky woman gave me tablets which might help me loose weight :rotfl:

Skiergirl - brilliant news on the mags, really hope you get something for them :)

I wish i'd kept all my magazines now! :D

I love the thread as it is, I love the thirfty and gifty parts of it, I love all the crafty talk and I love that I have finally made some friends online. :o You are the nicest bunch of people ever, there isn't one person on here that I could say a single bad thing about. :)

And I have never before felt excited about christmas in May! :j I usually don't think about it til December then it's all a bit rushed. I'm really looking forward to being all organised (and dare I say smug!) this year :D

Rusty yoga or pilates might help with your sciatica. Or if it doesn't ease up, ask them to refer you to a physio. I'd take ibruprofen and paracetomal throughout the day, and if they don't help, ask for co-codamel. They're all I can take for mine and they don't even really make it go away, just take the edge off it. :)
