sorry I have been AWOL and sort of lost track of this thread...but I will start again now...if you will let me back!

I had a good day today...decided I would clear the desk and surrounding area so spent all morning doing that!

rusty I'm sorry I really don't know what to suggest about OH's job as my OH doesn't even travel for work during the week. I have a friend whose husband works away and it seems to work for her (although I am sure she would rather he was at home). I think you probably adapt your life to suit the situation. I would suggest though that he goes for the interview to see what's what and find out more about the job. sorry not very helpful am I!!

hayley my ds1 sleepwalks. I always worried about him and the stairs but the other day he ended up half way down the stairs just walking normally. It is quite strange to see though! the hard part is trying to get him back into bed (he is nearly as tall as me) when he just wants to sit down and won't climb up the ladder.

I had a very stressful trip to the dentist with ds2 today. he had to go for a filling and was so nervous. the dentist was running half an hour late which didn't help. then she put the air on his tooth and he moved so she said will you be able to keep still when I do the filling because if you move I will hurt you? he said he would so she put the magic cream in his mouth and he sat up so she said she wouldn't be able to do it so would have to go to Billingham where they do partial sedation as she didn't want to give him a phobia. he cried all the way home asking why she didn't do it:( I didn't feel she was very sympathetic or tried to put him at ease.

sorry if I have missed anything major i will keep up from now on...promise!

jammy thanks for all the motivation you have given us for this challenge. i am quite impressed with my total (although OH would prob say he got most of it through winning the school lottery bonus ball!) and keeping track of it means I know how much I have saved. unfortunately my cheque hasn't come from last week's sale:(
this money will go towards Disneyland Paris so I will have to start again after the summer:rotfl:

I'm here on my new snazzy laptop and I can now see youtube .

Ebay won't know what's hit it in the next few days - lol.

Congratulations to everyone on their challenge totals - I'm proud to be last although I have made another £3 tonight :p.

I managed to sneak upstairs with my parcel of goodies just as OH came round the corner and had a quick look tonight when I put DD to bed. I'll get my creativity mag out tomorrow and pretend it has been upstairs for ages :o.

I'm sorry you feel steamrollered rusty - I can see both sides of this one but think of the pennies to spend on crafty goodies and you'll have the remote every night!!! If he does get it and it doesn't work out he can always come home again at least he won't be able to blame you for standing in his way. The kids will be fine my DD only sees her dad every couple of months as he lives at the back end of the world amd doesm't venture this far North (fortunately) - try not to worry too much it's not happened yet ( I know that's easier said than done I'm the worlds worst for fretting about possibles) big hugs hunny xx
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

  • :rotfl: Well i have to be good at something Rusty :rotfl:

Since i havent progressed to thrifty, i am practising being gifty. Well more like i have found an addiction do being crafty.......

:rolleyes:Even thats wrong...... its buying crafty stuff :rotfl:and then having really good intentions of using my pretty papers :D

Shame no one thought of you or the kids  Parents huh !!! Still if he hasnt gone for the job as yet. Theres alot of people scrabbling for them at the moment.. He may not have the option of the choice ;).... Hope he does though to make it easier for you.. financially..
If it was me i would personally like to have sole use of the remote control, a big bed to stretch out in and only me and the kids to worry about :D. Also since his parents were all up for him going for the job hopefully they were aware that that would mean you might need abit of help too ?
Like others have said Rusty, we will all do our best to keep you busy :D
