    Hi Gals,
Well I think I have thought of the challenge for May thanks to a post I spotted on this forum.........but before that...........

........ Mel and I were chatting in a PM about this thread and whether it worked better as it is now i.e. organised and money neutral, or as it was before i.e. one chatty organised christmas thread and one updatey thread for how you are earning pennies towards offsetting the costs of your gifts.

I suddenly thought that although we usually have the first posts on these threads, we don't own it and it'd be nuffin without you gals!

So, just wondering what YOU all thought for next time we start a new thread? Does it work OK like this or did you prefer it before! Answers on a postcard !:A All opinions welcome and valued :A (we will not banish you from the thread :p)

edit to add: This does not mean we will be disappearing :) Just wondered what you all thought of the setup

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

I never went on the old thread, I tried to get into it but it really wasn't for me (not sure why?) Personally I love this thread and wouldn't ever want it to change or dissapear!

Keep up the good work everyone :D

I discovered this thread after it had been merged so cant really give an answer, in my head the 2 merge perfectly, while I'm earning my cash & being neutral I'm also spending it to be organised :)
You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,

By the way I like us as we are, I think we have all got to 'know' each other here and can give each other virtual support if it's needed. Just because I am more thrifty gifty than money neutral doesn't mean I don't read with interest what everyone else has been doing to create cash and I'd like to think that some of the neutral girls appreciate that I can buy almond croissants for 2p! (was seriously tasty BTW)

I would like to think that come December we will all be smugly looking forward to Christmas knowing that we have either made our gifts, cards etc cheaply and with a lot of love or that we have been neutral and can pay for our purchases with no worries.

I am aware that not everyone is posting as much as before and some have dropped of the radar but maybe with spring and summer just round the corner they are not really thinking Christmas thoughts. I hope that is the only reason!

Me....well I have an addictive personality and will continue to read and post everyday! Lecture over!! M x

Budgies aren't bald now so you can be cute and fluffy budgies now :D.

I personally would prefer it to stay as one thread as I'm not particularly thrifty gifty or money neutral but try to do a bit of each :rotfl: and every little helps. This a lovely friendly thread and I feel I can post here about everyday random stuff as well.

If the challenges are hidden I can pretend then that I don't see them :rotfl:.

Sounds like we need another category though - craftshopoholic superstar :T:T

I read the two old threads occassionally but really only joined when it became one thread. although I don't post often I like reading what people have been up to. I probably won't be money neutral but nearly everything I buy present wise is reduced or a bargain - a big improvement on previous years. what I am trying to say is I like it the way it is!

btw I made £62.31 at the NCT sale. bearing in mind they take 25% that was more than I was expecting.
saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
