Hi, I'm Sylphraven, or sylph, or sylphy, or K (think thats the main "nice" names I get called on here, lol), I come from the bats belfrey (I wish) in Shropshire (west midlands).

I have 2 sons, ds1 is 10 & dr who mad, & ds2 is 2, & crazy about in the night garden, though is now expanding this love to bob the builder, postman pat, & Timmy the sheep.

I love a bargain & keep my eyes open for them, posting on here if I find one of interest. In this way I'm thrifty & organised, I try to get my presents early & on offer. I do surveys,go on cashback sites & play bingoport all to collect vouchers/money to become money neutral ... my downfall here is ebay, I have loads to put on there but dont get it on.

Ooo, & can you tell I waffle?

I've watched it now! :D I posted on the Lost thread!!! Go read it, it's really boring! :rotfl:

I've just watched a really naff film called Made Of Honour, I think that is the root of my miserableness (is that a word? :rotfl:)

I'm going to do a proper intro now...please ignore my miserable post :D

I am Hayley, or some people call me Hayls, Big H, or H if they're being lazy :rotfl: (sylphraven, i've totally just copied your opening line there haven't I!) I have no children but a gorgeous little hamster that I treat just like a little baby and she's very spoilt and I love her to bits.

I am trying very hard to be thrifty and money neutral, i'm not so good at buying pressies in advance like some of you do, i'm worried if I get somebody something to far in advance, they won't like it by the time their birthday comes! :rotf:

And one last thing, I love the Thirfty Gifty Girly thread :D

Hi again all you thrifty gifty gals (and any boys!) :hello:

I joined this thread when it was the organised Chrimbo thread. I am good at getting organised for Christmas and just love the whole run up to the festive season as it is my fav family time of year!! :xmastree::xmastree::xmassign::snow_grin
I have bought in advance for the last 3 Chrimbo's as i had big surgery 3 years ago on Dec 1st and knew I had to be organised well in advance and have continued ever since. I have got my wrapping paper and lots of cards for Christmas 2009 and have got a gifty notebook (another tip posted on here!) and have been buying all my birthday/christmas/other occasion presents in advance and writing it all down.

Since the thread has combined I have been a bit of a failure (hangs head in shame) :o. I say that because i have not done too well with being thrifty! That said I do a few survey sites, I use points from Tesco, Sainsburys and Boots and I am a credit card tart! Also I got a £50 virgin voucher after Jammy posted about it and I have just (last week) joined Bingoport! :D

    I need to....
    declutter and get on ebay
sort out the cd's and sell them online
see if any sites will take the 3 unused moblie phones we have (think not!!);)

I used to post here everyday but have been more quiet recently as the thread has changed. Thank you Jammy for trying to get us back on track and I hope I can help this thread be worthy of you!! It is a fab thread with lotsa fab people so I hope we make you proud to have started this thread from now on! GO JAMMY!!!:T

I'm in a much better mood now, i've been to Sainsburys and got me and the hamster something nice for our tea. I got some indian snacky things, some Nandos Piri Piri crisps and some mini pink cupcakes and Wispa got a carrot and an apple, doesn't quite seem fair that doesn't it? :rotfl: So I'm sat watching the Apprentice now with a nice glass of wine.

I don't know why I worry about being in by myself, me and Wisp are more than happy chilling out together :)
