Morning all!
For the one and only day a term grumpy son and untidy daughter are all ready for school.....early! We will be back to normal tomorrow with me shrieking hurry up!
we are going to a photographer this evening for a 'free' photo session. They entice you with beautiful photos of your children in the hope you'll spend lots of money....Money Saving Mhagster does not spend unnescesary money and takes the free photo ! Thank you!
Money saving Mhagster is kind of skint anyway until Friday! Not quite on poverty line but last few months I've had spare cash cos I've been mean and frugal but spent it all on holiday! now regretting takeaway on saturday and brunch on Sunday...heh ho!
Anyway, enough idle chit chat, have a good day!

js - fingers crossed it all goes well - it's great to hear someone so young with a plan - wish my step DD and DS were as organised
.
plm - don't over do it with the clearing all at once a little bit at a time split up with some treats works for me and you always seem to get much more done that way - we've just filled the second skip and still have shed loads (literally) more to go.
I'll still be here rambling whenever you get back
I wasn't very thrifty yesterday as I ordered some more papers but they were on sale - I'm having a me day today DD was ready for school at 8 this morning and OH went 5 mins later bliss!!! So I carried the contents of my craft shelves downstairs and am going to watch Jeremy Kyle (to see that I'm actually normal) whilst stitiching up bags and then get stuck in - I may even create my first ever scrapbook page but don't hold your breath :rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Decluttering: (as this is what I am doing ready for my car boot sale on sunday)
Be really harsh when you declutter - get someone to help who isn't emotionally attached to things (my sis in law is a great help when I am decluttering- makes me chuck tons)
Think-(Courtesy of anthea turner) Do I really need it, do I like it, do I use it and how many of them do I really need?
If you haven't used it or worn it in a year then chuck it.
Have 3 black bags or boxes while you declutter - one for stuff to sell, one for stuff to go to charity, and one for stuff to put in bin, then when you're done the stuff is quickly removed out of the room
Good luck to those of you who are decluttering - I am about to get started as I have to beat the 75 challenge with my car boot. Have my first midwife app. this afternoon but coming straight back afterwards to get on with it all.0 -

I phoned the solicitor and she says I have to re arrange cause I will be late  I don't think she understood that kids come first and I wasn't goint :rotfl:Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Oh no Rusty, hope little miss Rusty is ok. That sounds like one hell of a mess to clear up!!! Glad to hear your back is feeling slightly better, still should get to the docs though.
I spent the morning at playschool for DS2's first day. That really wasn't the plan . My plan was to settle him in, drive back home stopping off at local shop on the way and buy a nice cake and come home and have a hot cuppa and a lovely cake and relax for 2 hours. He was a nightmare settling in so decided to stay for the whole session. He did get better but I now have a headache from being with 19 snotty noses kids all morning. I don't know how the staff do it day in day out. Actually once DS calmed down it was quite fun, I got to play with extra squigy playdoh and talk about making cakes with a group of girls and superpowers with 2 boys. Very stereotypical! The kids were so funny. Wouldn't want to do it every day thoughHave to see how my monkey is on Thursday morning, his next session.
Have a good rest of the day everyone:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Rainmac - thats why I used to hide in the office at the nursery daycare where I used to work, we cared for children from birth upto 14 years (holiday & afterschool club) & it was really noisy & mad at times. Sometimes I'd pop into the baby room for a bit of tranquility. As you already know DS2 will settle down soon enough.
Let me know how you got on Choccy.
Rusty - your poor thing, I hope your next meeting with her goes smoothly with no problems either before, during or after. & I'm glad your feeling a bit better.
Plums - if you need to get rid of some craft stuff to make room you can always pop some over to me on your way to your parents
Or if you need any craft tools storing for a bit :P
:rotfl:
I havent been upto much lately, though have been picking up a few bear factory outfits up on ebay, sooooooo much cheaper than in store, whether new or nearly new.
**waves to everyone & then runs to get her warm cookie dough out the oven**You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -
Hi all - still here lurking in the shadows - I love just catching up with what you have all been up to and had to laugh about being with loads of kids all day. I am a childminder so have been mega busy the last couple of weeks due to the school holidays - so today is my first day with only 3 little ones - 1 who is 3 - 1 who is 18 months and 1 who is 6 months - I will collect another 4 from school later so then the noise really does begin!! but I do love it:D
I am here for the duration PLM - defo not moving - I need as much motivation as I can get on the lead up to xmas - otherwise I spend too much xxx:xmastree:0
