Morning everyone and hello to Snicker :wave:
I'm off to Swansea for some much needed retail therapy today, my Nan is treating me. I love Primark so will probably spend most of the morning in there.
Right off to get glam and wash the wig xLittle Miss Chatterbox

Take this as a compliment JS, he's showing faith in your abilities.
As for not having a baby yet, good girl! I got pregnant with my LO at 17 (unplanned, but well loved) & though I loved having a lil one to care for I missed out on so much. I advise my kids that they have some fun before planning their own LOs, get qualifications, a career, some savings behind them, & a bit of stability - its soooooo much harder to do the other way round, its possible, but it is harder. You obviously know all this already & have your head screwed on right. Maybe you could tell him that you need a bit more help from him before even contemplating having a child together, might get him giving you more help, though if he's like most men it wont last long, lol.
Morning ladies, OH isnt at work until late so LO can have a lie in & I dont have to get him ready for the school run. Why is it that he always has a lie in when I cant!! I completed my challenge yesterday & found my workout dvds out. Todays challenge is to follow a routine off one.
Can I have your nan please Shelley? You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -
Please dont change your thread, I love it as it is, may be I dont post as much as you lot but I really enjoy reading it, it helps as I have been going through a bad patch lately and coming on here every few days to tell someone what I have been doing so makes me feel better.
Went to the local outlet centre the other day and they have hald of it cordoned off as they are bringing the Range in. I have heard some of you talk about it before but have never visited one so looking forward to that opening.
Off to browse the charity shops this morning with ex MIL, she will buy me lunch so very MSE.
Have to get some more small notebooks to alter as well as I did 4 yesterday and they came out really nice, only probs was that a few of the pages looked a bit wrinkled where they got wet from the glue I used. Will have a look for some doublesided tape this morning to do the inside bit and may be they wont take so long to dry out. They dont look bad this morning, my daughter saw them when she got in and asked if she could have one so I will be doing her one for her birthday and one for now and may be a red one for my sons GF's red themed hamper.
Does anyone have any pretty red paper that is digital? I know its a bit cheeky but I have dowloaded lots of nice backing papers off the free sites but havent got anything with red in it, may be some red flowers or something would be nice.
Had another Amazon voucher yesterday for £10 from Valued Opinions so have bought the dvd box set I wanted to get OH. Should have another £5 waiting for me in my email this morning so doing nicely with that. That will be 8 out of 30 presents.
Will be around until about half ten.
Have a nice day every one xx0 -
Morning all
I came onto 3 new pages! you are all a bunch of chatterboxes.
Please please don'r change this thread, I love it as it is, and if anyone moans then nuts to them ... they are not allowed to change it as we have fame on martins emails occasionally which means we are special
Hugs to those who need them
I had another night off with my lovely OH .. he came home from work in a good mood again, and after he finished repairing a friends xbox (3 red lights earnt him £20 and saved his mate £40 as they charge £60 through microsoft) we settled down to recorded Auf weidersein on the setteeso sorry for neglecting you all last night but I was making the most of OH whilst he is in a good mood :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a fantastic day. I have to make up and wrap an ebay order, I want to try and make a card for the challenge aswell. Not much else to be done todayRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
i do wonder sometimes if I am completely thick, or was I just born that way? After attempting to cut chipboard with a paper cutter (clue is in the name right?paper!), today I decided it was the day for making eyelet holes. I duly started knocking a few holes through and felt very pleased as the 'hard' surface I had picked to hammer through to worked brilliantly! Until *shatter* - yes, the GLASS coaster I had decided to use as my hard surface is now in at least 300 thousand pieces across my desk ...! Why did I not see this coming?!
:rotfl::o
edit to add: after all that, i have found that I dont have any lemon or silver eyelets argh!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Oh dear Jammy you're not very lucky with stuff like that. I just read your post out to OH and he thinks you and I are related  :jRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Morning, hope everyone's ok
Rufusdog - if you ask your question about red paper on the card making thread someone will definitely come along and help (probably the brilliant saveapenny)
mum2one - I think a rememberance is such a thoughtful idea. I'm rubbish with words but would keep it short, love what Jammy said
Shelley - your Easter bonnet project sounds cool
Rusty - good to have some time together
JS - good to hear things are better for you. My GP when i was a kid was called Dr Bone, always thought that was so funnyMany, many years ago (before I was about so a looooooooooooong time in the past) my mum used to work with a bloke called Ivor Crotch - now that's def. funnier than Dr Bone :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: What were his blooming parents thinking...
:rotfl:
Jammy - not sure about covering your book, Think strong glue and thick scrapbook paper would do the jobOr double sided tape
My wee monkey is a bit better today so the medicine is working it's magic :j
I love this thread the way it is too, you guys are all fab :T
Got so much housework to doand then party prep tomorrow ready for saturday
Posted a couple of cards on my blog - black, white & red, not my usual thing at all but I quite like them
Have a good day everyone:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Jammy you do have adventures with your crafting!!!
Hope you didn't sustain any injuries!! Maybe goggles and a hard hat should be worn whenever you craft!!0 -
Rainmac - thanks a lot for that advice, have duly posted on the card thread, didnt think of that duh
Right I'm off out then, talk to you all later xx0 -
lol! my eye is kind of sore but i think it is paranoia from believing it is a shard of glass! lol! its awful, creative and dangerous that is me!! i was so mad to find i didnt have any eyelets either grr!! Oh well, hopefully mum understands! I'm looking forward to unveiling my *ahem* creative take on the journal jar, because I am currently not loving it!
thanks to aurora and rainmac for the links the other day to journal jars, didnt get chance to thank you properly. I now have 16 pages of questions for the jarNot sure whether paper will be strong enough - really unsure about going around the spine, as these things have a habit of being fragile - paper or card, so many descisions! think ill go with DS tape thanks rainmac! have posted on your blog - very nice cards
