I created the original organized for christmas thread following the organizedchristmas plan but ended up making friends and delving a lot deeper then that. The thread evolved into a warm cottage to come park yourself next to a fire, take your boots off and drink a hot chocolate whilst telling us all about your bargains.

Is this not the case anymore? I don't want to annoy anyone when I update you on my crafting or write 10 posts of silliness in 5 minutes.

There are allocated days for certain activities so that there is always something going on. I know there are sealed pot threads, I know there are challenge challenge threads, diet threads, crafting threads etc etc but I thought the whole point was that we all like to be right here and share everything, in the comfort of our safe thread. That is what keeps us all buzzing and so interesting.. there is always something new and diverse to learn from each other.

Do you all just want to be thrifty and gifty and I am polluting it and mascarading the thread as something it is not.

I love this thread and all the goings on, its like coming back to family, the ones you want to spend time with, I dont craft, but that doesnt mean that its not interesting, diet, is a rude word!! never mind exercise......... dont get me started, but I have never found a more wonderful set of ladies, and who I call my online friends, this thread inparticular and the others has been a lifeline when I had the stress breakdown, and I love the ramblings from one ad all, for hecks seck I ramble more than most......esp with the family stories.
So plz dont change this thread for anything xx

I'm organised for xmas - booked my panto tickets, going twice - as dds ballet teacher is in it sge wants to go twice, so 1st time, just me + her, then xmas eve were going with mum and dad. got very thrify prices, as registered disabled me + my companion get in each for less than half price, so it was £10.75 for the 2 of us instead of £12 each = very thrify, xx

The chatter makes us who we are ... Whilst we are chatting we still share ideas and thoughts.

I suppose this thread is our 'debt free diary'.. We talk about our day ,our thoughts and our goings on..
Then when an event comes up be it Valentines, Easter. The hallowed RUDOLPH season. We have already shared our ideas. We have Rudolph day so at least once a month we say what we have done thats gifty or infact thrifty..

Hi - serial lurker present and corrent - I would like to add my little bit if I may........Ahem......I check what you have all been up to almost every day and read your blogs and vote for Mel (cos they are the best designs by far) and enjoyed your day out to the NEC - when I needed help with my sons party bags all I had to do was ask and lots of you came back with so many ideas I got them sorted and done in the best thrifty way possible. I have my notebook on the go and have not yet missed one birthday or paid full price for any present I have bought. I have signed up to many sites and am earning vouchers and getting money back for all of my purchases. So if this isnt THRIFTY I dont know what else.

I am not the most gifted crafty person around but have bought all my 'stuff' to make my easter presents for all the children I look after and if they are not too embarrasing then I may put a picture on!

What I am trying to say (in a most long winded way) is that if you move your chat I will want to come with you - I need the support, the laughs and the tears of my virtual friends - please stay here I love it all.

Blimey I dont know where all that came from - but I know that you all know what I am on about xx

Can I just say, I love this thread. I've been coming on MSE for years and it's the first thread where i've felt "at home" - I know that sounds so cheesy but you're all so lovely and just chat about normal things and you give great advice and tips on crafty thrifty stuff. I would hate for it to change. And Mel I absolutely love your posts, you're so funny! And why on earth were you on here in the middle of the night? :rotfl: I totally get what jammy was talking about though, have seen other threads moved to the Arms or DT because they're not technically money saving. But this is a very money saving thread I think so we should be ok

Oh I am in pain today, let's just say I am definitely not pregnant :rolleyes: I knew I wouldn't be this month though, my backs been too bad for much nookie (is that TMI? :rotfl:) Since coming off my pill I get the worst pains ever, I have to take two of my super strong painkillers that send me woozy, get a hot water bottle and try and go to sleep so I can't feel the pain! Couldn't nap today though, OH's off work and he's got a new game for his PS3 and it involves a lot of shooting :rolleyes:

We got home a little after 7.Then had to get the boys sorted for school etc etc you know how it goes

And Mel - I love this thread for what it is - I quite like all the different aspects of the thread as I dont have time to read all the individual threads on card making and scrapbooking and the lovely parenting threads - but here I get the best of everything The talented cardmakers and the funny little parenting things.
I think it can sometimes be a bit intimidating to go and post in other threads on other forums so im sticking here. Where its an organic and totally natural thread from lovely ladies hearts
