I washed one lot of stuff to list on ebay - theres' the thrifty bit out the way :rotfl:.

Noooooo Mel was a bit worried that you had been taking some funny stuff this afternoon but it made me giggle - which I really needed today as I had to have DD off due to her tummy bug yesterday and there was nowt wrong with her - she built an assault course for the cat this afternoon which would have been hilarious if hadn't been trying to concentrate - cat flaked out about 4 hours ago and has been snoring loudly.

Was making a card earlier and the foot fell of my crop a dile was just about to carry on when the little elf in my head said mel says NO! so I stopped and put it back on :rotfl:.

OH has booked the week before Easter off and I can't have time off so have given him a list - build wall around pond and fill skip which I will provide - he reckons he won't have time to do both.

I think the chat and random hilarity is what makes this thread so great to come on and what keeps us all going - laughter is free (thrifty) and we give it to each other (gifty) :T

you have a dysfuctional family, oooo good, that makes you normal, lol, there again, if someone said they're family wasny dysfunctional I might think they're in denial.

Went to buy LO a little table with matching chairs, only to find The Range are no longer stocking them, I only saw it last week :( Oh well, shall have to get searching online for something similar, I know elc, do something similar, & I have a birthday voucher to get 20% off with them as well. I want something he can have his snacks at, & use for drawing etc.

Picked up a tub to put my mums hamper stuff in, was hoping to poundland would have some of their wicker baskets in but no such luck, but the tub matches her other tubs so sure she'll be happy with it.

Have set QVC to record, thanks Plm
Lovely pages Rusty, & well done on your ebay sales.

Think we all have disfunctional familes, dd calls my aunty and uncle, nanna and grandad, as they took over the roll of grandparents from day 1, obviously shes got my parents, were stuck with them, but her grandparents on her fathers side are now barred from seeing her until she is 18 and then its only her choice, basically they wanted her but no me as I was the wicked woman to have a child ot of wedlock.......(the grandmother strict Irish catholic stock), the grandfather can't stand me as i stood up to him and gave him and her a few home thruths about there precious son, - which went down like a lead ballon - followed by a solicitors letter outlining no contact and basically go take a hike, if u turn up in England on their doorstep, they will ring the police to get u arrested......

Forgot to add that instead of calling my dad grandad or similair, she calls him dad...

Meant to say, re table + chairs dont know what style u want, but Partners (think its still called that), riverside level, Pride Hill centre, they had a childs table + chair in pencil style, use to be on display in the window xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

I am really busy at the minute so I can't reply as fully as i'd like (i.e telling Paddy that she is having a laugh thinking im mental when her offspring has been building assault courses for cats) but I will later.

    Just wanted to say.

Swear I wasn't being snarky or dummy out of cot.. nothing like that.. was genuinely thinking OH MY GOD am I completely taking the michael here and is everyone thinking they was conned into joining the thread. If they are I am pointing at Jammy... She did the first post.. it's all her :p

It makes me feel really warm when I just spout off stupid insecurities and everyone is instantly caring and reassuring.

You guys all mean the world to me. That is sad isn't it.

part of our thrifty gifty ness is that we make our own presents so the crafty scrapping side is absolutely essential to our chat on here. It became even more relevant when we all seemed to be scrapbookers or crafty in some way or other.
I'm sure martin realises we are all nutters on here and realises we are a chat thread which is ok - we aren't the on topic credit card discussion or anything.
I feel I talk too much sometimes- I go through phases of posting 5 times in the space of like 10 mins, but nobodies ever told me to shut up so...
anyways - you lead this thread mel - we say what we want when we want and that's how we should stay.
