Does anyone her ever think about the poor sod that made the mistake !!! It could have been you, unless of course you are perfect in all you do. If you were given the option of canceling your order so that someone could keep their job, what would you do. I don't think this is in the true spirit of Martin Lewis or this site. But who cares about anyone else these days. MM

mistakes happen, im sure the company have insurance or some kind of get out clause in case something like this happens.

Any company with IT and Databases containing vital information have change processes that an employee must adhere to before anything can be released or modified.

The person would have to be so incompetent that it's difficult to see how they came to be employed in the 1st instance.

My guess is that some peed off employee must have done it on purpose, given the statement the day before about 15000 redundancies.

Hello, that's seems like a reasonable answer. I think that's what happened at another well know electrical retailer. My point really was that this is supposed to be a money saving website, not a money making website. Getting a 50" plasma tv for 1p , well maybe , but why 50 to sell on e-bay. Luckily it is the minority of people here,most of them being 'wind up merchants' but they do seem to rule these days !!! ah! is that the Panasonic lorry just turned up.

Just found this on the BMW website, can't imagine why !!

I Brought 323 items of the site
Phoned them today and they sayed it was a mistake on the site and that they had cancelled my order even though they have sent me a conformation email saying what item i brought.
Checked with the bank and the money has come out of my account
panasonic said that they had not accepted the money and cancelled the order.
I thought that if you had brought something from someone and payed for the item they had to sell the item at the price stated.
It is easy for them to say that they have cancelled my items and that they cancelled the payment to fob me off so that they do not have to send the items

Where do we stand on this ??
