Advice needed for Purchase of new build

I thought about getting DH to do the tiling too...
But, then i have to remember that the whole point of a new build is that you don't have to do any DIY! He he!
Electric fires should be dead easy - just plug in and go!Sarah.

Mmmm maybe. We were thinking maybe it would be better to get tiles in place before the kitchen and toilets get put in though to limit the damage and at least the tiles would be under the things rather than us putting them in up to the utilities.
Maybe you were told that before they changed the packages about your washer? I know now you can buy seperates rather than the whole lot and this has come into place in the last two weeks.
Its a shame all these extras cost so damn much isnt it?0 -
yeah - it added up and I was being careful.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

I don't mind sharing its just that my memory has faded
.I have a horrible suspicion that it added up to about 4k and that wasn't including flooring or kitchen upgrade. That was for downlighters in the dining part of the kitchen, a couple of half-glass doors, tiling, plumbing out to the garage (for my own washing mc) and wardrobe doors (I think). Possibly garden as well. Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0 -
Wow! It does mount up fast!Sarah.

I remember thinking some things were good value and others (like the downlighting) were not, its easy to get carried away especially if you look in the showhome.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0
